Today's "Power Purchase Agreement" RNS is more good news.

Divinausa: sorry, I cannot be too much help.

I agree about the subsidiary results and I, too, am a little surprised there was not a better market reaction - perhaps the explanation is that KSK is still "undiscovered", judging by the lack of posts on this thread. Surely, value will out eventually provided the company does the business.

As to OPG results date: My ShareScope is showing this as 10th June (presumably based on the date of last year's announcement). However, I don't know whether the company itself has confirmed the date. Should be soon, all the same.

Hi Dibbs

Yes, I has spotted that; thanks. I agree it augurs well.

It seems we are a like-minded group. I also hold GKO and OPG

I lived in India for four years in the 90s and was back for three months during February to early May of this year. I have experienced first-hand how acute India's power issues are, and the astonishing private sector growth that is taking place presently. I cannot think of a better sector to be exposed to. All three companies appear to have great prospects, but it obviously makes sense to diversify any company specific risk by investing in all three.

I have not been able to discover an Indian equivalent of ADVFN, where local investors discuss stocks. It would be good to be able to keep a finger on the pulse of those with closer access to day-to-day developments.

Saucepan, I agree completely with Par, with whom I share interests in several mutual holdings. Been way too busy recently to post but this was posted on the GKO tread regarding a rise in Indian energy tariffs. Can only be good for KSK, GKO and OPG. All three of these are slowly gathering momentum as projects begin to come onstream.

Saucepan,

Agree RNS confirms the promise I believe KSK holds for the patient investor .

Has tended to move up over last 18 months in a series of rapid rises followed by periods of sideways and slightly downward consolidation . So hopefully your investment will prove well timed for the next rise . OPG and GKO have been holding up well in the recent market volatility so let's hope for a rising trio in the next few months !

I find today's RNS very encouraging. It looks to me as if everything is going to plan and further strong growth can be expected over the medium and long term.

Hi folks

I wondered if any of you KSK followers would care to make an investment case and make a comparison with OPG? Are they equally good bets or does one seem to offer more value/growth?

I am already in OPG and GKO, on the basis that investing in the power sector in India seems a good bet, but I am open to further diversification.

Cheers

Hi Par,

Agreed, nice surprise today after a pretty static period where daily volumes have been very low. I too hope it has legs! I'm sure that the market will be pleased to see these projects move from "future capacity" and into production and therefore cash flow production.

As you say GKO continue to make the right noises with todays RNS showing that they are not sitting still.

INDI having a breather of late but sitting nicely, poised for a breakout... I did notice a trade today of 400k shares at 507p. A cool 2 million quid! I'm sure we will be rewarded with a move northwards soon. OPG also taking a breather for the mo.

I too remain very contented with a heavy exposure to the Indian energy/power sector:-) More of the same will keep me happy!

Cheers

Hi par,

Yep, I'm a happy chap after my KSK purchase and hope my luck will be the same with my OPG purchase today.

You and I do indeed seem to be a pair of Indian power junkies, what with GKO, KSK and OPG and then INDI as well.

GKO looks great, over 5 million odd traded the other day and the price looks strong....poised for a breakout?

As you say Power to the Indian economy indeed!!

Dibbs ,

Now up 17% since beginning of Feb so your recent purchase well timed .

Move to main market very positive news so here's hoping it has some way to run.

Off topic - saw your comments on OPG , Surprised by the fall and have had finger hovering over the buy button for last few days . May well follow your lead and buy back in tomorrow . Couldn't resist a few more GKO this week too !

Power to the Indian Economy I say !!

Positive news and price action as well. This should open KSK shares up to many more fund managers who would have avoided them as an AIM stock.

Off topic.....GKO held up very well after the strong rise. Good volume a couple of days ago so all good in the world of Indian Electricity generation:-)

Quite agree Mangal. I have held KSK in the past but only bought back in today having missed out on the big gains of last year. This is a solid company with great prospects but I've been holding back until it looked like a move up was beginning after his fair period of consolidation. I got a few at 515p and will probably add a few more soon. Some nice sized trades today(not mine!) so hopefuly we are in for a bit of a run.

PAR 555, thought I'd keep you company again!

Is there any mention in the AGM of when they intend to move to the main market.

We seem to have vertical take off maybe due to likely entry into FTSE 250. Hopefully we will begin to see spread narrow from current 30p so that KSK can be properly traded.

Had a good run in this in late 2007/early 2008 when it looked very much like one for the future, then it all went pear shaped for whatever reason I was never able to fathom , except for the general w/wide economic situation and possibly the Lehmann involvement . Maybe this is the ' second coming ' !

I believe coy.has a connecton with Greenko ? .Might also be one to watch . Watching OPG also .

All IMHO with no advice intended .
