 Transaction in Own Shares

The Company announces that between 1 and 5 October 2007, it purchased
8,500
Ordinary Shares at an average price of 213.65p per share to hold in
Treasury. In
addition, between 4 and 5 October 2007 the Company has sold 13,000
Ordinary
Shares from Treasury at an average price of 219.77p to meet demand
from a private
client broker on behalf of clients.

The Company now has in issue 10,900,000 Ordinary Shares of which
83,000 are held
in Treasury. The Company will continue to purchase its own shares for
Treasury
when appropriate, and in accordance with the authority granted by its
Members.
