|veryniceperson: Hi all
Not very happy, feel we've been sold down the river. Look back on the interim results, the outlook stated the first 2 months were 27% ahead of this time last year in line with management expectations. Seems as July and August must be there slowest months of the year and the last 4 months to Christmas there busiest I reckon they were up a substantially way ahead of expectations. It would or could have pushed the share price higher than the paltry 91p we are being offered
Could someone tell me if we now get a chance of seeing the results for the full year.
Also if you do get a chance to vote, vote NO. These shares have got much further to run, have held these and taken a real interest for the last 10 years.
|veryniceperson: We should see Germany's revenues coming through in the half years results, plus we should win more market share here as well. Anyway just glad to see them back in profit and getting there borrowings down from the Optimad acquisition. We should see the share price rise this year, but have said that before to no avail.|
|veryniceperson: It may make a difference to the share price tomorrow, but made no impact Friday. But the real proof will be early March when the results are issued.|
|veryniceperson: Share price seems to be getting a bit of a knocking of late, Doesn't seem to be any good reason. Why?|
|veryniceperson: The share price seems to dropping a bit this week. Anybody know why? Thought the trading statement sounded good unless the European cost of new network frightened them away.|
|larousse: You're not alone VNP, but I'm wondering more and more if IMD is.
Saw with that previous release, that they're thinking of slashing the dividend (as they're now a 'growing' company). I can't help wondering what they actually considered themselves to be before.
I have no inside info (as you know), but I would imagine that the reasonable dividend is one of the few things that has kept the post office / bt pension funds sweet as shareholders. Quite how they'll take to the double whammy of the recent drop in share price + the cut in dividend remains to be seen.
I honestly think that if there was a better market in IMD & less spread, they'd probably have done a runner by now.
You know about my holding, and I will keep these non-isa shares, but I have been very disappointed with IMD's board of late. That said, I suppose a positive spin on that view is that there aren't many more areas of shareholder relations left for them to botch - so perhaps the worst is over.
A happy new year to you & yours too.|
|veryniceperson: Well that will do the share price some good today, I think not! In the intrims they would be in line with management expectations, in the trading update its below market expectations. Just love the way they choose there words. And the way they use the percentage of this over the last percentage of that. Anyway morning all.|
|larousse: Well, it's the 1/2 time results on Tuesday, and not a flicker in the share price. I'm always hopeful of big things from IMD, but if you look at the forecasts below, it doesn't seem like the analysts agree. How they can change so much in six months, without a warning RNS still has me puzzled.
Losing one covering analyst and that sliding estimate looks a bit worrying one the surface, but I'm pretty sure the big numbers were just mistakes that got corrected and the loss of an analyst is just a sleepy share thing.
Anyway, lets have a good weekend and look forward to what they have to say on Tuesday...|
|sir walter rally: larousse - I agree.
Off topic posting like PDT just makes it harder for all of us to comminuctae effectively. I can't believe anybody get's taken in by it anyway or maybe we should spam the whole site with IMD comments. Our justification could be that we have a great story to tell!! Joking apart, folk can do their own research. I hope to see the IMD share price move ahead again as the underlying story is so good. Take the point about more detailed info required on TV roll out and revenues though.|
|veryniceperson: Hi all
Nice to see IMD share price stabilized after last weeks 3.5p rise overall. Hope I haven't spoken to soon.
