Posted at 10/4/2024 19:33 by bargainsniper Igg is a core holding for me.Excellent company |
Posted at 10/4/2024 11:50 by alotto Bull, I think you may be right. Customer base is stagnating dangerously. Also reducing staff is a sign that the management can see a storm at the horizon. I would have bought IGG if the trading update did not have the red flag on the shrinking/stagnating customer base. I hope the next TU proves me wrong |

Posted at 26/1/2024 10:57 by thorpematt Well that TS is a bit of a shocker isn't it!I have gone with the Lord Lee principle here. (There will be a quote somewhere), but broadly: You can't go far wrong with 7/7 companies. i.e 7% yeild and PER of<7 We are roughly 7/7 with IGG. There's real cash in hand and real profits here too. Fluctuations tend to even out and in the mid-term this will do well for patient holders I think. |
Posted at 25/1/2024 09:07 by hunter154 Agreed - the issue is that a school report on IGG would probably read “should be doing better” |
Posted at 08/1/2024 07:27 by hunter154 A really good trading update from CMC today. Might give IGG Share Price a push this morning. |
Posted at 11/9/2023 11:26 by lovewinshatelosses Yeah, the fundamentals here are not the issue. The (legitimate) gripe some of us have is only that the company could - should - be doing even better.Which hopefully the next CEO will achieve and then new ATH's will be a viable target. IMO. Anyway, this is nowhere near a high forward dividend yield that might render it unfeasible. What we have here is a nice dividend to look forward to. GLA. |
Posted at 11/9/2023 09:53 by hunter154 f880gna you clearly don't understand concept of fc yield , dividend cover etc.Fcf yield is 14% and dividend yield is 7%. DiVidend cover is x2, so nothing to see here. |
Posted at 10/9/2023 22:45 by f880gna Usually an unfeasibly high forward dividend yield portends a dividend cut. |
Posted at 22/7/2023 00:07 by maddox Hmmm not seeing many valuation metrics presented here on either side of the argument - bare assertions aren't very enlightening. As far as I can see IGG paid c. 8.6x revenue for a business growing at 40%+ in a market growing at 25%+. We're talking about the US here - where valuations are steep - and for a high growth profitable firm in an attractive market. Are there any comparable transactions in this sector that look better or worse value? Also, looking at what IGG paid. They put a value of a $1bn on the deal; $700m of this was in IGG shares - 61m shares. That puts a value on each share of $11.48 in todays money that's 890p. However, IGG are now buying back shares. Up to 21 July they've bought back £200m at an average cost of 756p - a 15% discount to their issue value. So, with another tranche of buy-backs underway the deal is getting cheaper every day. Happy to have alternative view points. |
