How long before this all turns out to be one big fraud?

What could go wrong here other than investors finding out in reality they own the rights to nothing, or say management disappearing with the company seals and no body has the faintest clue which bank and where was holding the companies cash pile. For example?

Interesting - just put an order in to sell 500 shares and was immediately returned with a quote of £25 - so there is some demand out there for these shares!!!

Yes, a nice small retrace, prior to the nex leg up. Plenty of big drug pipeline new soming soon, EGM, NASDAQ IPO and thn we will see the true extent of the American interest in the Company, which I can see far exceeding the $100m penciled in at the moment

£200+/share
---------------------------------

Spot on, I agree 100% alsamu

My £100 was a very conservative figure but having done further research on the potential commercial calue of the pipeline I think you have a better figure.

If you think that their 2 leading drug candidates could yield revenue of $1bn a year each, and multiply that by a typical NASDAQ 20, you can seen we could bee looking at a $20bn Company in 5 years time.....and that's without the Healthcare division, which continues to grow double digit % Y-on-Y

As the Evenning Standard said yesterday, the last 10 years growth could seem insignificant compared woth what's to come

Five of the seven drug candidates could be eligible for accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Hutchison China said in a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

London Evening Standard tonight implies that the last 10 years growth in terms of Market Cap could be small compared to what may happen when we gett on NASDAQ.

This Company could be worth many multiple of what it is today if some of its drugs at Phase II and Phase III get the go ahead from the FDA

Will get to £100 per share, circa £6bn, $10bn market cap in the next 10 years IMHO

Same here
Was buying at £2 - £3 in 2009/2010 and sold out at £5+
been watching from £16 but as usual didn't press the buy button in time.

I used to own these down at £5 and sold for a decent profit. However I have just bought back in as the Nasdaq listing is really exciting and the valuations on Nasdaq are mouthwatering. Let's hope the shares increase a further 4 fold again!

The Company first said they planned a NASDAQ listing at some point in the future nearly 4 years ago. I asked the CEO some questions about this at the AGM in 2012.

Personally I can see the Company separating off the Drugs division completely in a few years time. It could be worth billions on NASDAQ, which is the preferred market for biotech companies developing major oncology and immunology drugs.

We also have the FDA's Breakthrough therapy program, and a number of the Companies 17 drug candidates could go through that over the next 5 years or so.
If that does happen I believe the Company will be worth many multiples of today's valuation, with potentially bilions of $ or annual sales of oncology drugs alone.

To your point davidosh, I agree completely, the low bulletin board traffic is a great sign. I've been a holder now for 5 years and plan on holding for the next 10 - 15 years and will be adding regularly.

Lots of companies have dual listings and if they were cancelling or intended to cancel the AIM listing then they would have to announce that at the same time. I think they just want the $$$ investment money

Interesting that they are joining the NASDAQ.Short term this is very good but I do hope the don't cancel the London listing in the future. Had this happen before and was effectively forced to sell (all be it with a very good profit).

You guys are so right.

I have held here for about two years and all of my top 15 holdings are doing very well but have minimal chat on BBs. I think the best management just get on with doing what they are good at and the best investors do the same. Rubbish chatter and rampy comments are for gamblers. It is good to share quality discussion and research.

Long may that continue

absolutely agree!

The mere fact few people post about this Company is one of its major attractions. Many top performing Fund Managers in the Micro, small and medium Cap sector specifically avoid Conmpanies with a large and fickle Retail Investor Contingent gamblers, chancers, spivs and shorters).

This Company is very closely held, which is another huge buying signal, and the main Investors are in this for the long term eg. decades

It's eight years since I last checked out this thread, and only 600 posts in all that time!

Quite incredible, the same as NEW in a day a few months ago.

It's funny how the well performing stocks never seem to attract the attention.

Why HCM?
1. Tightly held (Hutchison Healthcare Holdings 69%, Mark Slater 4.26%)
2. YoY track record of growth (revenue, EPS etc) typically growing by circa 20% p.a
3. Significant growth in HCM's primary market - healthcare in China
4. China's movement away from TCM to modern western style medicine
5. Property disposals expected to generate significant proceeds
6. Strong cost control
7. Massive potential ($billions p.a) for drugs including NDA Breakthrough Therapies
8. On the cusp of a number of drugs completing trials and being launched in the U.S and China
