06/6/2009 21:08 | hi all, newish to this board. Came across it by reading the naked trader book. Will be brutaly honest and say that I have only recently got into shares. My strategy is to buy so called 'recovery' shares. This was identified by mutleymagic from an article in IC. Keen to get people's input on this. I am busy doing my own research, but keen to learn as well | delboysafa
06/6/2009 14:31 | Got a mention in IC out 5th June - put down as a RECOVERY BUY - lol - I have known value of this since it was 4p - MM | mutleymagic
03/6/2009 16:30 | Mate weve all been there, my worst: bought FRES at 120 sold at 180 thinking id done rather well. Enough said! | pelleeds1980
03/6/2009 16:28 | I got out a week ago.What a wonker i am. | roystonoyston
03/6/2009 15:24 | Looking tasty esp in a falling market. | pelleeds1980
03/6/2009 10:05 | im out. managed to double my investment overall and it was a good ride. it may go up further but im happy to leave something for the next person. if it retraces, then id consider coming back in... | alanrex
03/6/2009 09:37 | Strange trades. Look like two 500,000 buys, but then it could be a rollover, though the timing is back to front. And the quoted spreads on LSE and PLUS are significantly different (LSE 29/29.5; PLUS 27/29). Just tried a dummy sell and only offering a tad over 28 which implies that PLUS is more accurate and the two trades were not separate buys. | grahamburn
02/6/2009 12:28 | I am not a chartist but 30p was probably an exit point for some. Particularly those who purchased at 4p. | hdb
02/6/2009 09:22 | Looking at chart next resistance is 35 ish indicators look ok and not to high so buying /news ie director buys could take it to 35/38 before consolidation/downtu just imo | mykai
02/6/2009 09:06 | I am no chartist but the price has just broken through 25p around which it hovered for several week. So hopefully, we should get cracking to 30p and beyond! | xk
02/6/2009 08:55 | do we have any chartists on here? if so, does anyone have a feel of where this can go before meeting its 'resistence point'? thanks in advance | alanrex
02/6/2009 08:49 | mutley - apologies, that last full stop was a full stop (ie end of sentence!!), but I can see the ambiguity. Yes, the different spreads on PLUS are surprising - and at the moment I can't quite work out why. Incidentally, you can pick up lots of other shares on PLUS in the same way.... | grahamburn
02/6/2009 08:44 | graham - you are a star!! - cheers I was trying to find PLUS details on ADVFN - but couldn't (you have to miss the last full stop though) again cheers MM PS once done its amazing the different spreads etc - MM | mutleymagic
02/6/2009 08:27 | Also, what's the basis of your opinion for a short term pull back? | grahamburn
02/6/2009 08:26 | Yatrasor There is more volume than is shown on ADVFN - the PLUS market shows at least the same if not more volume (think well over 400k yesterday, compareds to just approx 200k on the LSE). You can see the current day's trades on PLUS on ADVFN monitors by using the epic PLUS:HRG.GB. | grahamburn
02/6/2009 08:17 | This seems to be rising on very little volume, so with some decent news and volume I think this could really fly north. However, a short-term pull back to 22/23 could potentially happen in the short term imo. | yatrasor
01/6/2009 18:10 | Decided to sell out today, goodluck all holders. | simon_64
01/6/2009 15:28 | news can be maybe a sizeable contract win not necessarily t/o...also a month is not a long time | gorfav
01/6/2009 14:56 | If there was to be "news soon", then there couldn't be directors' purchases. | grahamburn
01/6/2009 09:24 | More director purchases, perhaps news soon? ;) | rattlesnake28
29/5/2009 16:06 | I agree mutley.Im out today.My millions gone into more exciting stock. | roystonoyston
29/5/2009 12:06 | Great results - yet price not moving much due to lack of volume and large spread could be reason for this - MM scum - MM | mutleymagic
28/5/2009 11:39 | Thought the results were pretty good, debt down, cash flow up, looks like the div. will start upwards from new rebased level 1.2p at some point in the future. Share price looks well underpinned. Personal opinion- the business looks in good shape to me, still lost 75% of its m.cap since armageddon started so I dont see much downside to The Hog from here on. Regards all | owenski
28/5/2009 11:34 | "Dnata achieved a 22 per cent increase in revenue to AED 3.25 billion ($886 million), compared with AED 2.67 billion ($727 million) the previous year. During 2008-09, Dnata International continued to expand its ground handling operations to bring its reach to 17 airports in seven countries. Dnata Travel Services opened the 50th outlet this year, coinciding with its 50th anniversary of operations. The division also opened Afghanistan's first-ever full-service travel shop in Kabul in partnership with Dunya Travel. Dnata this year also invested in the Hogg Robinson Group acquiring 23 per cent of the travel company's stock. Hogg Robinson Group UAE increased sales by 14 per cent launching new outlets in Dubai.
