Seems that Henderson has bottomed with a Greek agreement having been reached and ratified in Greek parliament.

It fell from 300p in late April to 250p a few days ago.

Now back at 270p and hopefully regaining strength and composure for a flight back to 300p+

Following yesterday's announcement of their interesting acquisition in Australia,
some broker updates today.

Barclays - REITERATE - OVERWEIGHT - TARGET PRICE 325p

RBC -REITERATE - OUTPERFORM - TARGET PRICE 300p

(numis have a reiterate reduce tp 245p.
but that is rubbish in my view and I think they have lost the plot)

They have. Working hard. Paying great divs. Growing themselves. Improving their image.

Sp from 100p in 2012 to almost 300p now.

Another potential FTSE100 candidate if they keep up the good work.

CEO, Formica is doing a good job.

Good acquisition announced by Henderson today.

Will give them increasing reach, clout and visibility in the Antipodes.

A further significant boost to their Assets Under Management.

Positive.

Yesterday and day before. 28th and 29th. April.

A summary of Broker recommendations:-

Barclays . REITERATE OVERWEIGHT. TARGET PRICE 320p
Soc Gen. REITERATE HOLD . TARGET PRICE 295p
CitiGroup. RETAINS BUY. TARGET PRICE 325p
Canaccord REITERATES BUY. TAGET PRICE. 330p
JPM Caz RETAINS OVERWEIGHT. TARGET PRICE 310p
Numis REITERATES REDUCE. TARGET PRICE 245p
Shore Cap. REITERATE HOLD
CANTOR REITERATE HOLD

Out of 8 updates, seven are positive or very positive.

Barclays, Citi Cannacord and JPM Caz all see TARGET PRICES between 310p and up to 330p.

Overall, very positive.

A little general negative market sentiment and slightly unsettled markets for the last few days.

In my opinion, this will soon evaporate and the forward momentum for Henderson will rapidly reassert itself.

The outstanding recent results in the latest Trading Update are very encouraging and point to strong business flows.

More and more money flows into equities as interest rates and bond yields continue to dive.

I remain very positive about the prospects for this share.

Brokeout last thursday, share price held since, andnow over 300p. Think i sold too soon here, giventhat the ftse250 and ftse100 both are in breakout, might be tempted for a small s/bet long, aiming for ~330p

Now clearly through the important 300p barrier.

New all-time high for Henderson.

Market cap of some £3.3billion and ranked a very respectable 130th by market cap in UK equity listings.

Inflows into European equities has gone ballistic.

The Shanghai Index up 90% in 12months.

Both important areas for HGG.

An increase in AUM plus ballooning equity markets in their core areas are pure clover for HGG.

Yesterday 24th.

RBC Cap Mkts issues broker note with UPGRADE to OUTPERFORM recommendation on Henderson with a significantly increased PRICE TARGET (from 240p) to 300p.

Personally, given the relatively high yield on Henderson compared to its sector peer-group (eg Schroders) combined with recent strong performance and positive outlook, it would surprise me if Henderson don't rise significantly higher.

pps QP, just nabbed some BDEV. chart in breakout and sector chart great too. was torn between bdev and tw. as tw. has 9p divis in next few weeks and id expect capital appreciation too, but given that i pay tax on divis ive gone for bdev chart play for a few percent for cap gains and less tax paper work. (no tax on cap gains in iom)
