So this week results are due but no firm date following 1st July statement:

"Hangar8 (AIM: HGR8), one of Europe's largest operators of privately owned passenger Jet aircraft, today provides the following update on trading for the year ended 30 June 2014, ahead of its preliminary results which are expected to be announced by the end of October 2014."

The icing will be a 2.3p dividend.

Nice 5k buy at 324p late yesterday afternoon. The rise yesterday was on decent volumes by HGR8's standards, indicating continuing demand for the shares.

Given 30p EPS forecast for this year, plus a healthy cash pile, I too hope to see 400p here given a decent forward outlook in the upcoming results. And perhaps more if expectations are raised.

In the last few weeks we have seen 320p on the bid several times, but we just can't break that. Big moves are the norm here because there isn't a lot of free stock and we had exactly the same thing at 260p. Hoping to see 400p within a few weeks of the results and then reassess where it might go.

MM`s will do anything too un-settle holders this time of year, especially when they are short of stock, and expected good results are around the corner.

Have had this company on the radar no pun intended for too long. Put my toe in water with small purchase of 5500 shares but not all trades showing yet. A profitable company with few shares in issue to tuck away.

What are people on here expecting for HGR8's EPS for FY14 and FY15? TMF is showing 20p for Fy14 and 30p for 2015. Another source which I have access to gives 20.2p for Jun-14 and 24.9p for Jun-15
Cheers

As well as the above, there are further reasons to be positive about HGR8:

- the oil price has collapsed over the last couple of months. Fuel costs are just about the largest cost for any aeroplane, so this should greatly benefit HGR8

- it's been said before that a small increase in charter hours per aircraft per month would make a big difference to HGR8's profits, particularly as the costs of servicing charter are very low. There are a number of recent articles suggesting that the nascent recovery in the charter market is gathering momentum, for example here:

- the recent strikes at Air France and Lufthansa may also have helped HGR8 to a smaller extent

...and more buying at well over 300p - new highs now.

I wonder if HGR8's aeromedical services in Africa are booming due to the Ebola epidemic?

Final results are due soon as well of course and should be very good given the trading statement.

A nice burst of sudden buying by HGR8's normally quiet standards. The only trigger I can see (apart from the above article) is the upcoming final results.

HGR8 have put this up on their web site:

"Dramatic increase in sale of £5 million plus properties fuels demand for private jets
Sep 16, 2014"

"New analysis(1) from Hangar8 Aviation, the UK-listed global aviation management and charter company, has revealed that sales of London based £5m-plus properties in 2013 increased by 28 percent on the previous year, and it believes this is fuelling demand for private jets because many of these sales are going to overseas buyers.

Looking at prime central London property sales of £10 million or more between October 2012 and October 2013, for example, only around 38% went to UK nationals, with 18% going to Russians and CIS citizens, 15% to people from the Middle East, and 15% to Europeans.(2)

Hangar8 Avation’s analysis(3) reveals that the number of business flights into London’s busiest business airports(4) increased by 6% in Q1 2014 compared to Q1 2013, which equates to around an extra 300 flights. It estimates that there are now around 172 heavy private jets registered in the UK, which is 15% of the total in Europe. Some 65 were delivered between 2009 and 2013.

Dustin Dryden, Chief Executive Officer of Hangar8 plc, said: “London has long been one of the most attractive housing markets in the world, and it’s already home to a large population of high net worth individuals. As London continues to attract large numbers of the world’s richest and most successful people, demand for private aviation is increasing.

“In December last year, we took delivery of four more long range aircraft on behalf of clients, which was our largest ever monthly intake. Also, in March we announced unaudited half-year results that revealed a 13.1% increase in revenue and a 25% increase in gross profit – this is a reflection of our strong and competitive proposition, but also a growing market.”

Hangar8 Aviation’s analysis of Land Registry data reveals that it recorded the sale of 278 homes worth £5 million or more in London in 2013 – 60 more than in 2012. Over £2billion was spent on these properties, with an average price of 7.6 million."
