|Even Selftrade have paid up on time......in my account on 4 July as well!!|
|No worries, I had 20K myself so was in for a similar loss if I hadn't checked the rates. Nice to have the full 16p in our accts today.
|got my money at TDW!!
Alchemy many thanks for the heads up - you genuinely saved me 800 quid!!
|4th of July the latest..20 days from closing date (i think..its in the paperwork somewhere)
i sent my exemption form recorded delivery directly to the registrar..TDW already mucked up!!|
|I filled out my forms as soon as I got them sent through from Selftrade to fill in....at least a month ago! I wasn't taking any chances. Though if you can still fill them in now, I'd doubt we'll be seeing any money in our accounts this month??|
As far as I am aware and as and when you fill in the form it would seem to imply that providing we're not resident or have any family or business relations in Israel then we are eligble to be exempt and that therefore any taxes payable will be paid in UK e.g. Income/CGT.
I think this may be the reason why the mm's have not reflected the offer better in the shareprice.|
|found it thanks
are you sure we will be exempt?|
|ugger..how do i do that?|
|Hope so, I only filled in the exemption form yesterday after realsing that Israeli Witholding Tax is between 20-25%, anyone who hasn't done this yet can still do it today (well with selftrade anyway) as long as they receive it by tomorrow.|
|in June i thought??|
|Well I accepted the offer and the shares have been taken from my selftrade acct, anyone any idea as to how long it will be before we recieve the funds ?|
|Oak, I believe the terms are to acquire the entire issued share capital of FTS @ 16p per share as per the offer doc below:
Terms: CASH OFFER Formula Telecom Solutions Ltd has announced that Formula Vision Technologies Ltd has made a tender offer, on a pro rata basis, to acquire the entire issued share capital of FTS. The Offer is a cash offer pursuant to which FVT will pay 16p in cash for each Share. FTS is an Israeli incorporated company whose shares are traded on AIM. Shareholders should be aware that the Offer is not governed by or subject to the UK City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Terms: 16 pence in cash for each Offeree Share. The offeror will deduct Israeli Withholding Tax unless a fully completed Declaration or an appropriate certificate from the Israeli Tax Authority of exemption is sent to the Receiving Agent. You will receive a form for completion under separate cover. If you wish to accept the offer then please elect online where available or else notify us in writing by secure message or letter no later than 5.00pm on 10 June 2011.
Should you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service centre on 0845 0700 720.
It is recommended that the above information be printed for future reference.
|Mor4.... They don't HAVE to take all your shares off you. You are entiltled to sell 10% no problem so some people will try and sell ALL there shares at the best they can.|
|i can buy stacks at 14.5p
free money anyone?|
its not an offer per person whether they feel like it...
sorry game over at 16p....
again as the mms were paying you 9p before the announcement|
|I don't see how a UK resident could get this from Israel, but maybe there's a UK/Israeli tax treaty that wuld allow you to collect via UK tax, but I thought dividend tax was not refundable in UK. Oh ! too damn difficult. For the sake of 5%, I'll pass, but thanks for your response Tara7.|
|The divi you were paid has tax deducted of 20% UK divi tax is 15% so 5% is due from 5he Jewish state govt.|
|Don't understand your last post, Tara.|
|You have to take the offer ,!!
You can claim back 5% of the holding tax paid on your divi.|
|lol its a done deal ..you can refuse but they'll pay you the money anyway|
|I bought into FTS at 31.5p.....had the net divi of around 13p earlier in the year, so I'd be down if I took the offer. Though will I have much choice? What happens if we don't accept the offer? Would leave only a tiny minority left holding? My gut reaction is not to accept, but I could lose the rest perhaps, or could things look up? decisions decisions!!|
|AGL has broker target price of £1.20p but cost under 30p.|
|Thanks guys for the above, however i like to be the first to research a stock. hence PFO on a pe of 2 and growing at 40%.
They have just won the star wars 2D to 3D conversion.!!
