Can anyone put a valuation on this company once the dividend is distributed and now the US business is gone.

Thanks in advance. My understanding is that approx 2/3rds of the proceeds of the sale were used for the divi, meaning some left over.

oilbagger, bought these yesterday, on the high side, but happy to sit until they recover.

I've read that this is ripe for take-over, whats your take on this, as you seem very knowledgable.

TIA

Just slightly less than I bought them for a few weeks ago. Add in a massive dividend of 57% (in my case based on purchase price) and this has been a steal :-) Not long to wait for cash. Wish I had bought more but thought too good to be true and dividend wasn't guarenteed to be paid.
Happy to let my money ride as limited downside.

Very good oilbagger :) almost spot on.

This is a fantastic company - 55p per share buyout would do me

Logically it will open down 12.8p tomorrow but when does logic ever come into it :-)

I've come in with a small buy on this one.....divi is fantastic, just how will the price stand up post ex-div and in the days ahead? One to hold?

...my 5 tips for 2011...see if I can give you some competition !

BDI, FIF, NBI, CRE, KFX

Downside risk.....smallish imo,
except for FIF (debt, interest cost is high relative to profit) and BDI (but if BDI falls a bit if trading is slow...then not a problem imo....won't be for so long...)

(FIF,NBI,CRE,KFX are all looking good for rises over next few weeks....Bond may go horizontally until any news from the company)

(..and some others shares that I won't reveal !)

(your tips may do better but are higher risk imo, many being micro caps...)

Not recommendation to buy. Do your own research etc etc.

I'm surprised the share price didn't rise further on that large 100k trade.
If it stays at same level tomorrow I will be tempted to top up

I reckon the company is up for sale - 60p would be enough.

get in before the directors start buying

Seriously, if directors started to buy it would instil more confidence in the underlying business

Thanks, and with only part of the cash [16p] being paid now, more could come at the half way stage.

...congrats. Tara.....!...you were right that a div. may be paid....

(but !!...imo it wasn't garaunteed...they could have said nothing and invested the money in product development or buying another small company or whatever...
but...what is the value of what is left in the company ? .....(was loss making, sold the profit making part))

in any case good luck with FTS

I suspect people will be warry of buying in - it does sound too good to be true regarding the large dividend.

Once people realise that it is a no brainer - we should see price movement

...one might ask a question, how much is company worth sp-wise after divi payment, any ideas !?
