gregthere are plenty resources out there that will confirm those growth projectionsmajors are scaling back from long cycle projects due to the elasticity offered by shaleon the whole its been a huge ponzi scheme to date, but again if you dig around you will see the majors have cracked it nowif poo keeps rising the growth in the permian will dwarf whats been seen so farbest

Andy why don't you just take one day off from your negative spin/drivel. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can see straight through you!

Cole,
Don't know if that's a good sign, he's underwater with his other buys!

Positivity is very tentative here. I can't help noticing that there is some significant opportunity cost associated with investing/trading in ENQ!!

CEO buys another £533k tranche of 2.9 million shares. 2019 will be another year of rapid deleverage combination of EBITDA growth and free cash flow.

Hi there, I invest based on my own views and don't need validation from others. More important here is the macro environment, the oil environment and what the central banks will do next. I expect a solid worldwide economic performance that is solid but lack lustre, central banks will fire up the stimulus again and go printy printy, whilst globally I do not see a large increase in oil supply and increasing demand. On that basis enq will do very well on the basis of accelerated deleverage. I think the fundamentals for oil are very strong and 80 dollar oil is coming. That is all you need to know as far as this play is concerned imo.

ENQ are being lifted currently by the POO. An update in a few months time stating Kraken is operating at 80% or over on a reliable basis will help to get a rebate of the share price So for now its fingers crossed.

Did anyone see the series of 100000 and 200000 trades early doors? Shorters evidently read the seeking alpha article (50 revoke) and closed having seen the FCF forecasts

Can we keep brexit to enq related impact and not wider discussions. Literally sick to death of hearing about it.

For example, my boss has been a lifelong Tory and served as a Tory councillor for years. He and his entire family have abandoned the Tories due to their Eurosceptic stance , cozying up to UKIP and purge of moderates. He has even cancelled his subscription to the Daily Telegraph due to its constant anti EU propaganda, which distorts the debate. Suggesting anyone in favour of Europe is a die hard socialist is a cheap Andypopshot.

Disagree mate but we shall see. They will not want to food the market and cause an oil price collapse.. I really don't see shale adding anything like 4 to 5 million to production, whatever the headline names of the companies involved are.

Andy Plopkins. What left wing views? Brexit is not a left or right thing, that comment shows political naivety chap. How many diehard socialists do you know that are active traders following the markets, well apart from Karl Marx.

andypop, I think that's a fair point in that I guess the pressure Enquest is under may have led them to express more bullish veiws on Kraken than Cairn. The guys here seem to be convinced problems at Kraken are under control, but I assume brokers aren't (hence their downgrades). I don't hold Enquest. After bad news, my experience is that it's often best to wait 3 months for next trading update to see if things moving in right direction again. But Ive lower tolerance to risk I think than others here.

Greg,
In 2015 there were up to 1,930 rigs in use in the US, that year they hit just over 9m barrels, last week there were only 993 rigs with production at 12.1m barrels.
Do not dismiss shale.

Whiskey,
Is EnQuest much different to your description of the shale companies?

andypop1

Rig count is declining, as us shale production grows, more and more rigs will be needed just to sustain current output. I suspect production is toppy at the moment. Huge implications if it starts to fall and there is huge pressure on the shale players to improve profitability.

Llef,
Data is data whether provisional or not, if you believe US production is in decline then I wish you and Sleeven well, I might even get some sand delivered to you just in case your head isn't buried deep enough.
Life is too short for some debates.

Leon,
This is not the right place for your left wing views, it is the EnQuest board not an anti Brexit board.
