30/11/2006 19:19 | Yes - I was wondering should I top up before word gets around LOL Did get a response from the comp re the bluetooth business: ----- "The blogs refer to two separate products. The UMPC carry case is a prototype only. Eleksen only produces the fabric sensors, not the complete finished product, and would welcome organisations to partner with them in order to commercialise the product. The choice of connection technology (Bluetooth, USB, or any other) is down to the partner - the fabric sensor can be integrated with any of these. The fabric keyboard, however, is in production and available for consumers to buy - it is being marketed by a company named G-Tech. This one is designed for use with PDAs and other mobile devices, hence the choice of Bluetooth as the connecting technology" | nabcom

30/11/2006 14:38 | Eleksen Group (ELG) 30 November 2006 Eleksen iPod Solution Available in Luxury Market Zegna iJACKET Eleksen Group plc ('Eleksen'), which makes smart fabrics that can be used to control electronic devices such as smartphones and MP3 players, has been chosen by Ermenegildo Zegna ('Zegna') to supply ElekTex iPod controls for its Zegna iJACKET. The iJACKET is aimed at the luxury market and will be sold through Zegna's own retail stores as well as other luxury retailers in the USA, Europe and Asia including Harrods, SAKS Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales. The jacket enables the wearer to control their iPod from a control panel on the outer sleeve via an iPod connection in the inner breast pocket. Zegna Sport is the first luxury brand to develop a jacket with this remote control technology specifically designed for iPod users, of which there are already over 50 million worldwide. Robin Shephard, CEO of Eleksen, comments: 'With Zegna's iJACKET we're entering the luxury goods market for the first time and the global power of Zegna's brand and distribution network will ensure that this product is available worldwide. 'There is clearly a growing market for clothing that enables consumers to interact more conveniently with the ever-increasing number of mobile entertainment devices available to them and that's now as true for premium fashion brands as it is for the mass market. 'We are delighted that Zegna has chosen Eleksen as its strategic partner, to help with the development of products for the rapidly developing wearable technologies market.' | nabcom
28/11/2006 19:35 | Well , I keep posting these Eleksen/Elektek related product news stories, hope you don't mind :-) In the Wall Street Journal (need to be a subscriber) Gadgets for Giving By Jeremy Wagstaff Special to The Wall Street Journal Word Count: 1,179 I always thought it odd that people would buy something that had been specially designed to be small and portable -- think cellphone, iPod -- and then buy lots of cumbersome accessories to go with it. But as usual I've been proven wrong. | mr.oz

24/11/2006 20:05 | See revised price target to 75p but there is the BUY reitoration: Eleksen Group "buy," target price reduced Thursday, November 23, 2006 7:35:15 AM ET Panmure Gordon & Co LONDON, November 23 (newratings.com) - Analyst Mark Davis of Panmure Gordon & Co maintains his "buy" rating on Eleksen Group Plc (ticker: B4F1), while reducing his estimates for the company. The target price has been reduced from 82p to 75p. In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company has raised £1.68 million through a 7.5% convertible loan note, which is likely to rise to £3 million during the forthcoming month. Eleksen is expected to report its full-year revenues short of expectations on account of the time taken to arrange the funds, the analyst says. The investment flexibility for 2007 would reduce in case the company fails to raise a maximum of £3 million, Panmure Gordon & Co adds. The EPS estimates for 2006 and 2007 have been reduced from -6.9p to -8.1p and from -2.2p to -6.8p, respectively. | mr.oz

22/11/2006 17:56 | Elektex product featured in USA Today under feature on shopping for the thanksgiving holiday period and also looking ahead to xmas Bring your music to the masses Remember the days when music fans who didn't want to separate from their tunes hauled around humongous boom boxes? How positively paleolithic, especially compared with the setup provided by a new iPod-enabled messenger bag from G-Tech. Available in brown and black, the $129 bag, dubbed The Professional, boasts a variety of innovations, including an internal docking station for your iPod, ElekTex smart fabric strap that controls all music functions, and -- the really ingenious part -- slim, built-in NXT speakers that can connect to any auxiliary item that works off a standard headphone jack, such as your laptop. "We were looking for the complete solution for most music fans, not for a gimmick," says G-Tech's Mark Treger. "It's all about being lighter, more efficient. We like to think of this as a Jetsons-type product." Treger says future incarnations may include a speaker that zips out and can be recharged via a USB-connection to a laptop. -- M.D. | mr.oz
