07/8/2007 18:09 | If you intend to hold the shares longer term, then I would not worry about lack of certificate. You have a contract to buy the shares and the broker has a contract to deliver in due course. I've got quite a number of these and reckon that the share price should respond once they get more of their projects earning. The final results in May were positive. They have set ambitious targets for the next couple of years. The share price could double if they meet those targets by end of 2010. | david77
07/8/2007 16:45 | David, thanks - my broker warned me payment might be delayed if I sold without the certificate. I think I'd better get my cash back for the unbought shares and try a different broker. | bobdouthwaite
07/8/2007 15:46 | "bobdouthwaite - 7 Aug'07 - 11:43 - 83 of 84" It can cause problems if you try to sell before the mm has delivered the shares. A long time ago, I bought some warrants thru HSBC - the price moved up and I sold thru HSBC. I expected the sale proceeds into my bank a/c on the due date and spent the cash. The proceeds didn't turn up for a few weeks and HSBC tried to charge me for the unauthorised overdraft. I had to kick up a fuss before they backed down. Apparently HSBC had to pay a penalty for failing to deliver the shares - even tho it was caused by the mm who they had bt from. | david77
07/8/2007 14:23 | I believe it will be equally difficult to sell this type shares! imo | 786abdul
07/8/2007 11:43 | I placed an order for less than 3,000 shares in mid June at 85p and the mm has still delivered less than half to my broker. Is this unusual? Can anyone explain the implications? | bobdouthwaite
21/6/2007 19:30 | imo Dresdner Kleinwort putting some clients into ECG, some chunky buys going through lately. looking to add to my ECG position as we move up. | thenry2468
15/6/2007 14:10 | 4m changed hands or 8 million shares bt? There are only 87 million shares issued so 8m is over 9%. If it is 4m changed hands then we should get two RNS statements. | david77
11/6/2007 09:04 | Pitty IG does not offer new orders, i just bought a few traditional shares from TDW (technicals like RSI, Momentum, say it's not a bad time to) at 82.25 p and will add in the future when cash permits. Change of adviser and brokers also positive. | kourdos
31/5/2007 15:45 | Interesting volume bars over the past few days: | gsands
10/5/2007 11:14 | All of my SB holdings are for Dec (when I expect to roll them over to new contracts) and have no stops. I try to keep enough cash in the a/c to stand a 30% fall in all of the bets I hold - some could go lower than that providing they don't all fall by that much. | david77
10/5/2007 11:09 | Yes - but also notoriously weak holders and easily 'squeezable' in the event of a raid on the stock. | gsands
10/5/2007 11:06 | Why? it means that other IGIndex clients like the share and have bought as spreadbets. These investors reckon that the future growth in the share price will be more than the interest costs incurred with spreadbets. | david77
10/5/2007 10:58 | Yikes! I don't like the sound of that! | gsands
10/5/2007 10:56 | I would have added as another spreadbet but IGIndex won't buy anymore of these - they are over their self-imposed 2% limit on holdings. | david77
10/5/2007 10:24 | Amazing to see zero trades so far on this ECG on it's results day! Market really is asleep on this one. | gsands
10/5/2007 10:12 | More on Neil Eckert: Neil Eckert, who has brought three renewable companies to market in the past three years, says: "There is a fantastic opportunity here. Most people now believe that CO2 emissions have to be reduced significantly to stop global warming and that makes renewable energy vital. We have got to have it - and that is opening up this market." 10/5/2007 10:05 | These results are very exciting. This company is certainly going places and seem to have quite a few projects in the pipeline. Targets have consequently been revised upwards. I suspect the newsflow for 2007 will be exciting. This is the right company in the right place at the right time. And with this chap at the helm I am sure is heading for a very bright future: | gsands
10/5/2007 08:01 | well on first glance the results look OK to me; not terribly surprising | utwiq
09/5/2007 10:54 | A little bit of nibbling today ahead of tomorrow's results | edcrane
03/5/2007 18:40 | we believed it to be the 3rd, beacause on direct enquiry to the company, they said it was the third, and i posted such. Sorry for being misled and misleading. Hope its worth the wait! D. | damofarl
03/5/2007 12:46 | well they just advised: results out next Thursday (the 10th) | utwiq
03/5/2007 11:00 | I expected results today. It's operations are from Canada - maybe too early for them. | david77
03/5/2007 08:28 | why did I think we were going to get results today? can anyone put me right on this. perhaps later in the day... or I may just have my wires crossed | utwiq |
