I've just created a page for RedLeg on Wikipedia and updated that of Blavod. Need to do one for Blackwoods too.

Yes Berny, I noticed that too, was wondering why that is. Any ideas?I wasn't looking at the amazon site last October. Was Blavod in the top 10 vodkas in the run-up to Halloween?

If you are following Blackwoods Gin on Amazon (D17) note it has two separate listings for the normal strength Gin and it looks to be splitting sales between these two listings, rather than allocating sales to one listing.

Dante17, as a rather lazy investor I really appreciate your scuttlebutt-type research!

For vodkas, where the number of labels is vast and keeps getting bigger, Blavod occasionally makes it into the top 40 which isn't bad. The list is typically topped by the Absolut range.Coming back to RedLeg, the number of reviews was around 60 not that long ago and now it's 90, almost overwhelmingly 5-stars.I'm following the Winebow website daily to see when they will list RedLeg as one of their brands. The launch into selective US markets must be imminent and should be a big boost to the fiscal 2017 year-end accounts.

Blackwoods is typically in the top 50 but occasionally it's around 30th in what is a far more competitive and saturated market where competition is more fierce than for rum. It used to be around 50th but is steadily moving up. I would expect and hope that it eventually gets into the top 20 category.

I've been following the Best Sellers page on the U.K. amazon site for a couple of weeks now. Here's what I found:RedLeg is consistently in the top 10 (out of more than a hundred rum brands), and is usually in the top 5 (today it's number 4). That's quite an achievement.

redleg seems to be going down well in my local tesco, on offer at 17 quid so availed myself of one, only one bottle left on shelf whilst all other rums fully stocked. redleg was fully restocked last week :)

Thanks Bernie. There's another twitter page which was getting updated regularly but then all activity stopped in April last year. Was wondering why. Anyway, cheers.

Eggnog with Red Leg Rum
Ingredients:

8 eggs, separated
8 tbsp powdered sugar
4 oz of rum
4 oz of brandy
8 oz of whiskey
3 cups heavy cream, whipped
Milk

Directions:
Separate eggs into yolks and whites in separate bowls.
Beat the yolks until thick, then add the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, and keep beating.
Add the liquors and place bowl, covered, for several hours in the refrigerator.
When ready to serve, fold in the whipped cream and stiffly beaten egg whites.
If the eggnog is too thick, add a little milk.
To serve, place in punch bowl and sprinkle with nutmeg.
