        Acquisition of Kamernet.nl to expand property lettings services



Direct Wonen (AIM, DIWO), the property and financial services provider,
announces that it has acquired the assets of Kamernet.nl for an undisclosed cash
sum. Kamernet.nl is a market leader  in  consumer-to-consumer classified
accommodation for the student letting market in the Netherlands. This
acquisition in the self service letting market reinforces the Group's on-line
strategy and  complements the strong market position of the Group in property
lettings. Kamernet.nl occupies  a dominant position in the 'starter' segment and
is expected to expand  the Group's database with over 1 million house seekers.
It is expected that the acquisition will be earnings enhancing.



Kamernet.nl was launched in April 2000 and has gained significant profile as a
result of its first mover advantage. In 2007, Kamernet.nl facilitated more than
7.5 million visits by nearly 2.2 million unique visitors. Its database of over
818,000 active users has expanded over the last year by circa 200,000 users.
Kamernet.nl, which competes in the 'starter' segment of the rental intermediary
market, has the largest database of rooms for rent in the Netherlands with
71,000 rooms submitted for rent and between 1,800 and 3,000 active rooms
available for rent at any given time. User retention is high as users are
encouraged by free life-time membership onto the site.



Free membership provides registered users with an email alert service,
generating around 6 million email alerts per month. Fees are paid by tenants to
obtain contact details of landlords. Direct Wonen expects to leverage
Kamernet.nl's  database by targeting those potential customers with other Group
services,  thereby extending the Group's customer base and the customer life
cycle substantially. The Kamernet.nl name will be co-branded with Direct Wonen,
which is expected to benefit Kamernet.nl with improved IT and marketing
capability as a result of the Group's extensive online experience.



With a self service business model and outsourced content screening, Kamernet.nl
has no workforce.
