10/6/2002 19:14 | Cheers for the info.I suspect all this wet weather might just be keeping visitor numbers up,we shall soon see. | drw1
10/6/2002 19:09 | sranmal, 6 months for finals, 3 months for interims. | stewjames
10/6/2002 18:08 | i thought year end was end feb and AIM companies had 3 months to report, hence should have been out by end of may! these have been on my watch list, but such uncertainty doesn't encourage investment | sranmal
10/6/2002 10:20 | Anyone know when results are due? | drw1
06/5/2002 18:12 | P.e of 5.5 looks a bargain to me,particularly if visitor numbers continue to increase.Obviously still being punished for previous problems, but my understanding is that these are behind it.Not take many buys to move this one as market makers appear short of stock to me. | drw1
04/5/2002 15:37 | In Shares magasines on Thurs - tipped as a 'bite-sized bargain' on a p.e. of 5.5 at 42p and NAV @55p (their figures). Looks very tempting - just the big spread is off putting. | nickthegambler
03/5/2002 10:25 | Came back impressed after a recent visit to Blue Planet aquarium, large queues and plenty of money being spent. With visitor numbers apparently rising and costs largely fixed a better than expected profit can be expected. My 5 year old son found it enjoyable to.His last recomendation to me was HORNBY enough said.... | drw1
14/3/2002 21:39 | nice spread, why not make it 100%? | thecleaner
31/1/2002 18:43 | Anyone any ideas? I noticed it was marked up a lot after two small buys about a month ago? | thecleaner
26/7/2001 21:25 | Execline LOL! ADVFN updates it's live prices once every minute so 300ms "Jeffrey" should not cause too much of a problem LOL. "With download speeds of up to 400kbits/S the service will typically operate up to ten times faster than a normal internet phone connection and up to eight times faster than a single ISDN line! Unlike other satellite internet providers, you don't need a proxy server, instead you build up a connection to the Starspeeder network using Virtual Private Networking via your existing telephone ISP this allows you to use all protocols HTTP, FTP, NNTP etc." | paul augustus
26/7/2001 11:55 | It seems to me that Starspeeder clients will probably be a little behind the rest of the financial market:- "Will Starspeeder make online gaming much faster? Starspeeder needs to take a signal from your PC through your ISP to our uplink centre, then to the satellite, and beam it back to your PC so the ping times will be over 300ms but for downloading, the speeds will be incredible." Thus data has got to go from earth to the satellite and then from the satellite down to the client. I think they used to call this delay "lag", although the modern term is now sorta like "It's a bit Jeffrey, don't you think?" | execline
26/7/2001 09:48 | Paul, Being out in the sticks I also would be pleased to read of your experiences with this. Regards Jon C | jonc
26/7/2001 00:44 | When I looked a few days ago Starspeeder are not currently accepting registrations (trying to service existing users). Once they are back I do intend to try it. The starspeeder bulletin boards mentioned appear helpful but if you look closely they are moderated (censored) by the company. There are also starspeeder resellers eg www.skystorm.net. I have read that the MD of this company is 16 years old. Just passing on the info. charlie (obviously an old fart at age 36) | charlie
25/7/2001 23:36 | paul - yes, please let us know what you find out. | march
25/7/2001 20:39 | Kayak, Believe it's the whole download stream. Europe Online do downloads only. Glad to see there is some interest in this. Soon to try out - will post outcome. | paul augustus
25/7/2001 12:27 | Me too. I'm with NTL which is supposed to be quicker than BT copper wires (it's fibre they tell us- not the breakfast kind of course :-)) It's still all Greek to me, having clicked on these! Am I alone in being totally baffled by so much of this new age stuff. | dondee
25/7/2001 12:18 | Paul - this looks very interesting - thanks. Must admit I would like to flick two fingers at BT and their monopoly on local wires. But wish I understood it as its all a bit new to me :( Is there an idiot's guide anywhere to internet access via satellite ?? | march
25/7/2001 09:49 | Thanks guys. TP | the player
25/7/2001 09:48 | I got the feeling from reading the starspeeder info that it was not only downloads that came down from the satellite, but the whole incoming data path including browsing, streaming, etc. If true this would be different from other satellite technology since other services merely provide downloads, which of course is not much use unless you're an mp3/games/software freak. | kayak
25/7/2001 09:21 | TP IKN | i know nothing
25/7/2001 09:08 | Here is an excellent article from a user called Rupert Kent (obviously Superman's brother) and taken from his :- Check out - then move on to this guy's page 2, either from the link at the bottom of his first page or at | execline
25/7/2001 09:01 | I am about to trial Eircom's ADSL free for two months - I can't wait! I seem to recall various threads on ADSL on this BB. I can't find them in the Search facility. Would anyone have them bookmarked? Thanks. TP | the player |
