Couple of other things worth noting are:

There is a BB on Starspeeder here:

and I notice that there appears to be some issues with the Microsoft Windows ME operating system.

Still not sure if it's cheaper than cable or ADSL, however, it's probably the only alternative if you live in the sticks like me.

I'm not a subscriber, I've just read the info on the links above.

seems to be the favourite as far as I can see and it quite clearly states that it doesn't use a proxy server, so access to Napster, streaming media etc is fine, so the answer to your question is "yes", I don't recall reading anything about a cut off time, I suspect that there isn't one.

Would be interesting to hear from someone who is a subscriber.

....and here's another query from a totally baffled computer idiot: can you keep the connection open for streaming feeds or is there a cut-off time imposed? I'm very interested, particularly after the BT engineer who was round yesterday repairing my ISDN connection said he knew of no plans to ADSL-enable my local exchange.
