08/12/2014 12:05 | Only time will tell... Thanks for your contributions to the BB, good luck. | praipus
08/12/2014 11:18 | Out altogether losing the next divi. Maybe a mistake? Some of my re-investments r well ahead though so I can lick my wounds if DVW is taken out £18.00 or so in the next few months This was my biggest holding but I retain UU. & PNN. Z | zeppo
19/11/2014 09:23 | Interims 21st November. We will learn more then. I sold a few a month ago and am happy to have invested in HHI, CLDN, AGR, and MRCH to diversify. The above were all lower when I sold some DVW. z | zeppo
15/10/2014 10:37 | Linhur A tweak is better than a twerk! red | redartbmud
15/10/2014 10:19 | Quite a steep drop in share price since mid April. I wonder whether the new CEO has found a few problems at DVW or perhaps they have had to tweak their 5 year Review? Linhur | linhur
29/8/2014 09:01 | Reading this I'm concerned by Ofwat's assumption they can run a water company. i.e Failing DVW's requests to renew pumping stations, water mains and IT systems. Yet Ofwat seem to be incentivising the reduction of customer complaint reporting what are they thinking? Customers are the people you want to call you....arent they? Scenario: 1) The water is comming out of the tap yellow 2) and you've got a bill for the wrong amount to your deceased partner because the DVW IT system is not working. 3) You've had to spend and an hour at home googling to find a DVW customer service number. 4) You've spent an hour of your works time on the phone trying to find a number for the customer service or complaints department. Errm seems familiar so now we know it's not the company it's Ofwat failing to do their job? | praipus

11/6/2014 11:52 | Unlike bigger water companies, who have presumably more complex figures to prepare, DVW do not publish a financial calendar. Why do they need so much longer than bigger companies? z | zeppo
11/6/2014 10:53 | Dont companies like this do succession management? | praipus
11/6/2014 09:42 | Zeppo Not surprised that there has been no increase in dividends. See my posts 255/257/262. With no CEO appointment and the Chairman retiring, there will be no continuity in management. Until the OFWAT review has been achieved, it will be difficult to see what changes may be required. The lack of experienced plant management at senior level is concerning. Linhur | linhur
11/6/2014 08:36 | Earnings per share increased but no divi. increase. Is this overcautious ahead of the OFWAT review? Bitterly disappointing. Will the share price be sustained or will some get out? z | zeppo
27/5/2014 18:12 | Downward movement on less than 2K shares sold. Hope for a reasonable divi increase next week - or whenever they deign to announce their Finals. Usually very cautious rise. They're not too strong on Financial Calendar for investors. z | zeppo
02/5/2014 16:52 | Thinking on Zeppo's comment where next ? PEW perhaps? PEW investor day presentation soon too? Thursday 15th May, 2014 Free breakfast and lunch :) | praipus
02/5/2014 14:17 | Page counter added to header. | praipus
02/5/2014 12:46 | Looks as though we have a rudderless ship! Managing director retiring on Monday. Interim chief executive resigns before taking up full time post but will look after the ship short term (12 months) New FD starting on Tuesday OFWAT review still ongoing - good job former MD and FD still helping out on the review. Linhur | linhur
29/4/2014 17:41 | Praipus I can afford to wait though - and hope. £16.00 per share was my previous target. Results in the next month. Should this be taken over at any price the problem remains for income seekers where to safely go next for income and growth. z | zeppo

29/4/2014 15:31 | Rising again on small trades. What would the takeout price be for this company? z | zeppo
27/2/2014 18:41 | z My view is that the regulator is always going to favour the larger companies because of the political fall out if the regulator does not pick up on company mistakes. I do think that DVW have always battled to get their point of view across and they have had success in interim claims for price increases. If a fast track process is now going to be introduced to raise the competition for business outside your local area, the smaller companies are likely to miss out because they do not have the resources. I do believe DVW has been run very tightly and they have managed the large capital programme for them on renovating the treatment works. I put this down to the two previous CEO's having long experience and knowledge in water operations. All inmho Linhur | linhur
27/2/2014 10:45 | The share appears to be tightly held and large price adjustments can come from low volume sales. My personal view is that the divi rises have always been modest. Why should they get a harsh rating from OFWAT? z | zeppo
24/2/2014 14:58 | Praipus Having been a shareholder for more than 10 years I am aware of their past record. However management retire and this might be a difficult moment particularly if OFWAT want to tighten the regime and their intention to grade water companies into three sections might mean that smaller companies may be more liable to come under the microscope. I think it might be right to take a bit off the table until the review is finalised. | linhur
24/2/2014 12:29 | Anything is possible. If you were selling these what could you buy that is as profitable, well run and asset backed? | praipus
24/2/2014 11:36 | Looks as though DVW might be going through a rough patch. It might be due to difficulties with the regulator. OFWAT propose to divide the sector into three areas - good/moderate/bad and DVW might be in the second or third tier. This is likely to affect the prices they can charge. New management will take time to bed down. Final reason for share price drop might be profit taking from private investors. | linhur |
