08/12/2010 00:19 | "We've seen some real good signs coming through of a continued recovery and that's continued since the year end as well," Mr Blood said, adding that this had prevented a trend seen in previous years of business seasonality from recurring over its last financial year. | smarkmmm
07/12/2010 16:41 | This held up very well considering the very modest turnover in shares; just imagine how they'll motor when the brokers, papers and journals start tipping them. One to hold for a year or two for a nice multi-bagger. Barriers to entry are enormous. | philjeans
07/12/2010 14:07 | Still valued at less than £9M - takeover target supreme! | philjeans
07/12/2010 09:52 | not to forget that this is the right industry to be in right now. at a time when espionage and counter-espionage activities are key themes on the news broadcasts. Iran, Russia, North Korea and China all starting to become major belly aches augurs well for established businesses like DTE. Only cloud is what effect the WikiLeaks saga may have on their recovering U.S. market - though I can't actually see any particular negatives - it isn't like we are going to stop being a major ally and I am sure we will still be keen to share high-tech gadgets with them. | longshanks
07/12/2010 09:37 | Yes - a quid will come quite quickly. Will be tipped in the IC and Shares for sure. And probably on the Daily's 2011 tip lists. | philjeans
07/12/2010 09:32 | Market makers are still holding a tight ship on these. Online purchases limited to just a few shares to give them as much opportunity as possible to pick up loose stock on the way up. Once news spreads - and we get some "speculative" interest - this should rise very quickly. | longshanks
07/12/2010 09:25 | If the first 2 months sales rate is maintained then annual sales for 2011 would be c.£18m (up from £14m), not bad for a company with an enterprise value of 6m... "Current trading and prospects The order intake in the first two months of 2011 is £3.08 million (2009: £2.90 million). The order pipeline is robust and underpins a growing confidence in both a continued US market recovery, ongoing success from the diversification strategy, and an increase in demand for intelligence gathering solutions. Coupled with strong key customer interest in our next generation product platforms, the Board is confident of sustained growth. Dean Blood Chief Executive" | smarkmmm
07/12/2010 09:23 | It's a very tight market - thinly traded and under the radar. If you read between the lines of the ITS, as I did, you would imagine the figures would be very encouraging, as I did. I have no inside knowledge - just good research. As you said yesterday, the shares went up 'cos some bright spark nabbed 10k when no-one was looking. Nothing to do with "manipulation". ;-) | philjeans
07/12/2010 09:23 | It's a very tight market - thinly traded and under the radar. | philjeans
07/12/2010 09:15 | Looks like the figures must have leaked to the market for it to have been so badly manipulated in the run-up to results. I take it this is why you anticipated "persuasive" results philjeans rather than because you personally had inside info. I have to agree though - the figures are good, very good. The second half trading is very encouraging and if subject to normal seasonal patterns would indicate that the next interim figures will be closer to £10m. Should see a strong recovery in the share price now towards £1 and above. | longshanks
07/12/2010 08:11 | Financial Highlights for the pro forma 12 months ended 30 September 2010 +-----+------------- | | Strong recovery in financial performance | +-----+------------- | | Revenue increased 80% to GBP14.06 million (2009: GBP7.82 | | | million) | +-----+------------- | | Operating profit before exceptional items of GBP0.80 | | | million (2009: loss of GBP1.16 million) | +-----+------------- | | Adjusted earnings per share of 6.38p (2009: loss per share | | | of 2.47p) | +-----+------------- | | Net cash of GBP2.58 million (2009: GBP1.70 million) | +-----+------------- Outlook Whilst economic uncertainty continues to impact government funding for Defence and Security budgets, DATONG is well positioned in the critical and robust intelligence gathering sector. The Board is encouraged by the results and progress in the period. The growing confidence of a sustained recovery in the Americas, strong positive feedback on new product launches and the continuing success being achieved on customer diversification, means the Board is confident of further profitable growth. | philjeans
07/12/2010 07:55 | As I forecast, figures are VERY persuasive! Super growth in sales, profits and cash. Strong BUY. | philjeans
06/12/2010 13:59 | up because someone bought 10K that the MM's don't have to sell. I think the figures will be reasonable - but not spectacular given the trading statement earlier this year. bid possibilities is my guess for the rerating: can still only buy 38 shares online (more available to negotiated/phone trades) which indicates to me that MM's really want to keep the lid on this one. | longshanks
06/12/2010 13:16 | Up in anticipation of good results tomorrow. Figures will be very persuasive. | philjeans
29/11/2010 10:35 | Interesting post - thanks Smarkmmm. Shares in DTE are looking very tight at the moment. Can't even get a quote for 50 shares to buy online whilst they will happily take as many off you as possible. | longshanks
26/11/2010 11:42 | Smarkmmm Thanks for this. Digital's authorised financial adviser and broker is Investec. Investec own 45.9% of Datong. | sue1alan

10/11/2010 22:12 | Market Makers are pushing the price on little or no volume, the results should be interesting... Roll on December. | strongarm1971
05/11/2010 10:22 | nice bump upwards. :) | longshanks
02/10/2010 18:31 | canaccord forecasting eps of 3.4p for 2010 and DL showing 6p for 2011. Looks interesting but would be more encouraged if the directors holdings were not so pathetic or that there had been some recent buying but nothing since Dec 09. | yoyoy
15/6/2010 18:14 | They'll do nicely. I've added for the last 2 months and am VERY happy...... | santangello |
