Reetus,
I've been following events in this sector for a while now. Am a holder of a few k shares in CHA and awaiting news/developments out of what is happening there with Eddie Shah. I know that CSP have a stake in CHA as well as other people including Shah and David Lloyd whose Next Generation Clubs was supposed to have made an announcement about expansion yesterday though I can't seem to track it down.
Vultures are circling around CHA ready to pick up the pieces - it seems that these could include CSP - unless of course Shah can pull a rabbit out of a hat.
CHA egm called for 7th Jan which should be interesting to say the least.
Given the situation with golf, health clubs, tennis clubs it seems ripe for consolidation/takeover/cherry picking....
CSP have made a statement saying they are interested in CHA but only if the deal is right for CSP and CHA shareholders.
Welcome your thoughts or indeed any other views.

As there is no thread for this company I thought I would start one. Crown Sport in the past seems to prefer acquiring existing health and leisure businesses rather than building new ones. It's acquisitions include that of Golf Club Holdings and Dragons Health Clubs.

I would be interesting if CSP are linked to any acquisitions talks with either Clubhaus or Esporta, now that both appear to be in the shop window. Both of these would fit into the current business.

Anyone have any views on this?
