01/3/2017 16:07 | like director buy.... | supasapi
01/3/2017 15:21 | Nice short video from a website mentioned in an awards news-piece on COA's website: | lauders
01/3/2017 15:11 | Yes, the real growth is from Performance Materials, as well as the larger margins. Hopefully we will see another bolt on acquisition soon here. Nice to see a Director buy of 200k at 56p today. Nb. netcurtains , you really don't understand what coa do. To hope for a tie up with asos was a bit silly tbh. | miti 1000
28/2/2017 10:26 | Gotex goes back to the 1980s - its not new. | netcurtains
28/2/2017 10:24 | Yeah, nobody really does crafting anymore these days. I still remember my grandma did it. But after her era, I am not so sure if anyone I know still doing it. This is perhaps why Coats sold their European Crafts division last year. I am actually surprised they still keep their American Crafts division. The profit is up and down. They should have sold it as well. Anyway, the Crafts division is small. What matters more is their Apparel and Footwear (their products goes to Adidas, Nike, Zara, etc). Also their Zippers division (second largest in the world after YKK). And their Performance Materials (for Cars, Medical, Hi-Tech, Mining, etc). I think the future growth will come from this innovative Performance Materials division. This must be why they bought Gotex last year. | mmochtar
28/2/2017 06:48 | I sold on the basis that i bought in on potential "craft" boom based on popular TV shows like the Sewing Bee. Since Coats SPECIFICALLY said this area was doing badly, I sold. However I wish the company and shareholders well. I bought in on totally wrong assumptions. I'm looking for stellar growth in crafts - my mistake - sorry. | netcurtains
27/2/2017 22:28 | Price hit 50p today. Looks cheap now. | mmochtar
24/2/2017 15:03 | don't blame you, looks like it may drift, disappointing, but have had a cracking ride from early 20s and 30s....gla and if it his sub-50p may start accumulating again...DYOR | qs99
24/2/2017 10:43 | sold (I only had a few), thought CRAFT would be miles bigger than it actually was. Shame no tie in with ASOS.. | netcurtains
24/2/2017 10:42 | its good clarity at the very least. I just sense that the market was expecting a slightly more upbeat update....hence the fall....let's see how it fares over next few days as the management do their rounds, but any further weakness and IMO this may drift to around 50p mark...let's see | qs99
24/2/2017 10:39 | Should be. Because this means they can pay dividends. They said in the call that they will pursue progressive dividend going forward. | mmochtar
24/2/2017 09:55 | I guess the end of pension liability sounds good - but I am no expert... Is this good news? | netcurtains
24/2/2017 09:15 | Ok, I sense these may drift IMO given lacklustre city response? thoughts? Results are not bad at all IMO, but I am just unsure now as to what will be the catalyst for a further re-rating as their outlook is pretty cautious and I am always "nervy" of H2 weighting statements! DYOR appreciate views... | qs99
24/2/2017 08:04 | well a blue open isn't a bad sign IMO....any broker notes anyone finds please post! ta | qs99
24/2/2017 07:20 | Indeed, can't really fault it, just depends on how analysts view the future, hopefully will nudge up expectations lets see, but given its size, COA should start appearing in trackers especially now yield etc....IMO | qs99
24/2/2017 07:14 | It's ok, let's see if it gives a lift to the share price after analysts meeting. Forward look seems encouraging | ayl30
24/2/2017 07:11 | Ok any thoughts? Nice initial divi IMO shows intent at least. Outlook appears fine, albeit cautious in current environment. Pensions sorted, decent cash flow IMO, H2 weighted results this year forecast...let's see how market takes it. Excluding pensions, EV/EBITDA is around 6X this year's results IMO....DYOR but that doesn't look expensive nor necessarily cheap.... | qs99
23/2/2017 15:20 | 2.3M at 60p at 15.03 - presumably they expect share price to rise. | azure8269
23/2/2017 14:38 | who knows.....see you all in the morning for a review! | qs99
23/2/2017 14:27 | Nothing apparently leaking either way it would seem, so perhaps drop just a few being careful before the RNS? | lauders
23/2/2017 14:19 | arghhh - hope and fear | netcurtains
23/2/2017 14:15 | not getting much of a "view" so far ahead of tomorrow, other than drifting! let's see | qs99
22/2/2017 07:01 | In my wish list I hope in the results they make a mention to the SIGNIFICANT GLOBAL rise in interest in the craft industries thanks to such programs as the Sewing Bee and Bake Off. If you go to Coats main web site the "craft" link is quite active. This is where growth can come from over the next few years... If you look at the ASOS web portal you will note 50% of it is given over to "amateur" tailors - it would be good if COATS could do some sort of tie in with ASOS.. (many of the items here, believe it or not, are "home made": | netcurtains
21/2/2017 13:23 | well done you! added a much smaller amount first thing...! | qs99 |
