12/1/2009 12:31 | Sorry for the off-topic, but I think this is an important issue worth taking interest in. If you are opposed to a third runway at Heathrow, then please sign this petition: It only takes a minute and could change the outcome of an important decision. | gsands
12/1/2009 12:28 | This has started moving up Looks like some one has found a gem Highly undervalued and a good entry point. | 6lucky
09/1/2009 17:15 | what happened to Lehman's holding ? | gambler99
09/1/2009 12:33 | Yes if this is the start of one of those upward swings then 150p could be reached very quickly. | matt123d
09/1/2009 12:03 | Very good opportunity to get hands on this one just bought in @89p Looks the upward movement has begun | 6lucky
09/1/2009 08:59 | Possibility all that stock on offer was bought yesterday. Struggled to get hold of any this morning, eventually HSBC dealt and immediately moved his offer from 70p to 80p! | matt123d
05/1/2009 15:38 | "how much stock is on offer?" By the looks of the price chart - most of it ;-P | lpf
05/1/2009 15:30 | Has anyone here got access to level 2 and if so how much stock is on offer? | praipus
24/12/2008 17:17 | Let's take the ZEN stuff over to where it belongs | lpf
24/12/2008 16:52 | Zenergy ( ) don't build wind generators, they make High Temp. Superconductors - which will have problems of their own being a fledgling technology. These have found their way into wind generators made by Converteam ( ), and if they're using a fledgling technology they're a lot further than 1 year away from a marketable product. | gbb483
24/12/2008 14:52 | Zenergy don't yet have a commercial wind turbine. They might conceivably do, by the end of next year. | lpf
24/12/2008 13:57 | There are a few other companies out there whose products outclass Clippers on power output. For instance Zenergy can build wind generators that have a smaller footprint and power output is 8mW compared to Clippers 2.5mW. | cezary
15/9/2008 19:17 | lehman hold 10% of this company and have just funded a project, no wonder its going down quick they will proberly be forced to sell quick | motoben
24/7/2008 08:30 | Deadweight CFO out: and a whiney has-been in: | lpf
28/5/2008 21:44 | The money men are making their management changes, after putting in more money recently and appointing two to the Board some of the old guard are on their way out looking at the RNS I'm a small new holder having taken stakes in a number of wind related companies. Clipper is one of the more speculative as they have had their problems but these appear to be behind them - we will see as the year plays out. If they are all behind them this stock is good value in a wind market that is on fire. | fastbuck
20/5/2008 11:58 | If this isn't a chart breakout I don't know what is. | u813061
15/5/2008 11:43 | Making the break now. Looking good: | gsands
13/5/2008 11:28 | Bit of possible resistance here, so I've decided to take my 16% profit and see what happens. | gsands
08/5/2008 17:32 | These might've been dragged up by Vestas who released their Q1 results today and shot up 10% | gbb483
08/5/2008 16:57 | I agree, the chart looks good. | u813061
30/4/2008 17:38 | Looks like the share price may have bottomed for now. Seems to be good support at these levels: | gsands
11/4/2008 23:13 | Questor (Daily Telegraph) has been going down the slippery slope of allowing their articles to be written by PR people. OIL at 500 dollars a barrel is still cheaper than wind. As (and if ) the price of oil increases the sentiment for wind power will increase thereby benefiting the share prices of these companies in the short term but how do you compete with oil bubbling out of the ground almost for free in faraway countries. Wind power is starting to get ugly.... as anyone who has driven past the various locations will know. Hezbollah and Israel are getting ready for another kick off. Just some meat for the mincer.. any thoughts folks. | mickconn11
10/4/2008 08:08 | Clipper Windpower 500p +22½p Questor says: Buy Finally, a ray of sunshine for Clipper Windpower, the Aim-listed supplier to the alternative energy industry that has been frustrated, if not beset, by supply problems. Shares in the US-based maker of wind turbines have been on something of a roller-coaster ride in the past year, peaking above 900p late last May only to plummet to less than 480p within four months, before finishing the year above 700p. In recent weeks they've been back in the doldrums again as investors continued to fret about the "strain on working capital" that prompted a £25m share issue last month. Courtesy of private equity, though, the wind appears to be turning. Word yesterday that One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of JP Morgan Chase, would pay £76m for a 12.3pc stake in the form of 15.8m new shares buoyed market sentiment: Clipper shares surged almost 5pc to finish the day at 500p. The extra talent at the boardroom table - One Equity will nominate two directors under the deal - should prove positive. But the big plus is the cash. Assuming Clipper shareholders back the deal next month, the extra capital will prove invaluable in equipping the group with new options to address the headaches of delayed and inferior parts supplies that have affected output. One idea bandied about by analysts yesterday was that Clipper could take production of some components in-house, possibly buying out key suppliers. Regardless, it puts to rest the issue of the "strain", giving Clipper more breathing space to nurture its business in what is a rapidly growing market. Much of its supply problems, after all, have been brought on by the growing demand for parts by competitors as wind power finally comes of age around the world. Just this week E.ON announced plans for one of the largest ever windfarms in the UK with up to 80 turbines in the seas off the Humber Estuary. Renewable energy, and particularly wind energy, is here to stay. And with a healthier balance sheet, Clipper should be too. Risks remain, but trading at 22 times 2009 forward earnings against a sector average of 24 times, the shares look appealing. (Daily Telegraph, 10 April 2008) | m.t.glass
09/4/2008 23:48 | ?? It rose 248p (52%) over the 3 months following that Sept turn ;o) | m.t.glass |
