02/5/2002 22:16 | Got a good write up in the results page in the Shares Mag today. Divi 3.5 times covered. Nice! One for the long term. Cheers Derek | deltrotter
29/4/2002 19:58 | Thanks, read the detail in the results and its there eps 36.7! right in front of me. Nice rise today which will probably continue for while, and a ~5% dividend shortly, very nice! This could go to £2.00 or above fairly shortly depending on any profit taking, but wouldn't make sense to sell until at least the dividend dates have gone | mikeyboy
27/4/2002 13:29 | simon, well done and thanks for the information. | royaloak
27/4/2002 08:37 | Net asset value is much higher than mentioned above as Criterion hold significant trading properties that are not revalued and held in the books at cost - hence, closer to £2.50 per share before deferred tax. Not bad going really; I am impressed also with how this company has rewarded loyal investors with a significantly increased final dividend. For those that have held on through the difficulties of last year (including me!)it is now looking good. | simonevans
27/4/2002 00:46 | Del, 2.71 euro's, around 167p, luvverly jubbly!!! | royaloak
27/4/2002 00:14 | What's the NAV on this one now? Cheers Del | deltrotter
26/4/2002 20:59 | mikey eps 36.67p as Del says, I could not understand why the price did not move higher yesterday morning. Sometimes you see something in black and white and start to doubt what you have seen when it does not react as you expect it to. Even after todays rise the total dividend is yielding 7%!!! | royaloak
26/4/2002 19:30 | mikey From the Final Results; "Earnings per share up by 321 % to 0.59 or 36.67p per share (2000: 0.14 or 8.82p per share)." !!!! Cheers Del | deltrotter
26/4/2002 18:42 | royaloak, you say the eps will be 36p!! is that right? surely it puts the co. on a ridiculously low P/E, where should it be for this sector 8-15? if your right (i looked at the results but they just stated profit but not eps) then the company is seriously undervalued and should keep travelling north, hope so cos i bought in this morning on whim without really checking out the co. | mikeyboy
25/4/2002 19:04 | Well perhaps a further rise as a result of an MBO looks less likely after today’s statement, however today’s 18% rise as a result of: An increase in EPS to 36.7p from 8.8p (+321%) An increase in dividend to 10.0p from 7.0p (+43%) An increase in net NAV to 220p from 202p (+8.9%) + an upbeat statement and continued talk of a possible share buy-back ; all together are giving us the right result; and personally I’m still there for the ride – after all, they still stand at a 39% discount to net NAV and still yield 7.4%. CNP is one of those “Family Controlled” property companies so maligned in some quarters; how refreshing on this occasion however to see such concern for minority shareholder interest. Frankly, CNP & CLI (CLS Holdings) have lessons for DJAN & TOPS. Could it be perhaps that corporate governance is somewhat higher in the Scandinavian countries than it is in the UK (and yes, CNP did act very quickly to snuff out their previous MD when an unusual contract emerged in respect of their US-based associate!). Perhaps the Freshwater (DJAN) and Goodman (TOPS) families will look to put their own houses in order before active minority groups shame them into reducing the absurd NAV discounts - I estimate 53% & 49% respectively. | skyship
25/4/2002 08:14 | ........... results out eps 36p approximately, losing party is going to appeal but risk reward ratio worth it in my opinion so bought a few ! | royaloak
31/3/2002 22:09 | i thought this was one of the best property companies at one time but got out when the oaktree saga came to light am going to wait and see as to whether the losing party will appeal | ntv
31/3/2002 11:44 | This company looks strong following its court case win last week - with net assets of 180p and a 6% yield it looks interesting. I like the strategy of investing in mainland europe properties and it would be interesting to know how much the circa. £25m ITT Tower in Brussels is now worth. This company only seems to buy large assets which can be traded on relatively quickly. The last year has been a bit of a shambles with the court case with the former MD, but now that this is behind the company (subject to any appeal) then the company may be worth a second look. As always DYOR, but any views? | simonevans
18/3/2002 15:10 | Not the most active of property stocks, so only of use to the investor. CNP has at last moved through the £1 level again, with three buys @ 100, 101 & 102. Hardly earth-shattering stuff, but for this stock it perhaps presages a resolution of the legal furore holding it back for so long. If that is indeed the case, I would expect an MBO to follow shortly thereafter. Looks a safe play for 125p+ over the next few weeks. (current Price 100-105) | skyship
17/5/2001 21:23 | he bought a large stake at £1.25 last september may need to 20% premium to get control? | ntv
16/5/2001 21:14 | whta would this do for the share price? | hyper al
16/5/2001 21:05 | it is cheap and i wonder whether the chairman might decide to take it private | ntv
05/5/2001 00:40 | Investors Chronicle have today given a favourable write up on Criterion and that asset value has jumped to an estimated 214p a share They say the outlook is encouraging Djal | djalan
