My opinion is the Directors of this Company are an utter disgrace. They have tied up investors money for 6 months, whilst no doubt drawing salaries during an extended holiday. P.I's are entitled to a full and detailed explaination
of what has been happening during this period immediately.

The Directors of Carlton announce that the Company has today allowed its option to acquire all of the shares in Tobon Tondo suarl ("Tobon"), the Malian gold company, to lapse. The Directors have taken this decision due to a combination of delays in the due diligence process in relation to Tobon and in the perceived timeframe for raising funds to finance the Tobon acquisition.



The Company continues to undertake due diligence in relation to a number of other potential mineral project acquisitions located in Africa, in line with its stated investment strategy.



The Directors would like to reassure shareholders that they are committed to ensuring Carlton has a future life as an AIM-listed company. Ensuring that the right mix of assets and cash are injected into the Company is the key to its future, and the Directors continue to work towards this objective.

They have to inform shareholders within 24hrs as the renewed option expires tomorrow.A further extension will cost more money and extend the Directors holiday still further, as they will be paying someone to carry out due diligence
on our behalf.

i can't believe we get treated like this we have had f==k all since the 14th....why did they bother telling the market about this deal, past experience tells me they have failed to do this deal if there was ever one, next step see this out till july then delist.

I think they have almost run out of time now and cannot come out of suspension again unless they come up with something 100% concrete by end of feb......otherwise end game it seems.
