Posted at 01/5/2024 10:08 by institutional investments So those investors that sold yesterday at 102.8s , got a good price...compared to what an investor window shall invariably bring next |
Posted at 30/4/2024 17:18 by institutional investments An interesting one for income investors fearing yield risk and downside on income entities, yet still bullish SP500 for a calendar year. Not so sure it wil pay out post elections but lose nothing anyway lol |
Posted at 19/4/2024 08:56 by institutional investments Institutional Investments - 18 Apr 2024 - 08:47:36 - 50394 of 50408 BT - Where next ? - BT.ASome keep like to say, we are day traders. Sure, and traders, and investors So to remove confusion, lets look at the 103.5s price point. i know the stop on that will be 106.5 mid re a 3 point stop i also know 1st target will be 77.5 Thats an investors % right? albeit, an investment in demise However given capital at risk on a fixed stop, the target is therefore a near 900% return on risk Look, just because a near stop means not willing to go 50% in the red in a deal, does not mean day trading all the time it simply means, want to know when im wrong, at low cost and not years later lol Summary Investment in demise, executed ........ No chance of coming to take me out nada |

Posted at 06/4/2024 09:29 by institutional investments An old adage to greatly reduce initial risk, and get it off the table early'The wisest traders and investors deal at same prices...the trader may end up becoming an investor if market allows to hold. An investor may become a trader if market calls tike early. Everyone else are just fodder" |
Posted at 03/4/2024 10:15 by netcurtains stansmith1: You're being daft. Nearly everyone - including BT investors have shares all over the world - they are all ISA'able...Clearly, even diehard UK investors like me now have 50%+ of portfolio out of UK.. What makes the UK attractive is that it is on the floor and there is hardly any more funds that we can take out of it.... In a sense, UK PLC is probably ripe / due some sort of recovery ...... And BT is in that pack.... |

Posted at 05/3/2024 20:41 by diku Below from the post link above ...not just investors but the BODs of companies should openly be raising concerns as well...Mr Lowen and Mr Beagles wrote in a note to their investors: “This clearly shows the absurdity of UK stock market valuations.” The criticism adds to fears that low valuations in London are leaving companies vulnerable to foreign takeovers and risk tipping the stock market into a spiral of decline as more businesses leave. |
Posted at 05/3/2024 06:43 by unastubbs More on the Berenberg upgrade in The Times today:Berenberg made a welcome call for long-suffering investors in BT, questioning whether the telecoms group’s shares, having fallen by 15 per cent since the start of the year, had dropped too far. The mood around BT has been under several shadows of late — a looming first results presentation in May from Allison Kirkby, the group’s new chief executive; a forthcoming general election; and a move away from consumer prices index-linked retail pricing — all of which Berenberg believes are “overdone̶ Carl Murdock-Smith, an analyst at the bank, believes these potential “risk events” have contributed to BT’s shares “being the worst in the telecoms sector year-to-date”, but he is confident that all are manageable. “We had been thinking about turning more positive after the full-year results, but recent share price action has persuaded us to act earlier,” Murdock-Smith said as he lifted the bank’s recommendation on the stock to “buy” and suggested that by the end of this year BT’s investment case “should appear much clearer than it does today”. Investors heeded the advice, sending the group’s shares up 1½p, or 1.4 per cent, to 106¼p. .... Thanks to the thread creator for providing this "safe space"👌 |
