Appointment of non-executive director

BNN Technology (AIM: BNN), a London-listed Chinese technology, content and services company, today announces that it has appointed Mark Hanson as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

Mark is a highly experienced international investment banker, with legal and accountancy backgrounds, and specific expertise in the equity capital markets and financial services businesses in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, UK, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He has extensive public markets, regulatory and corporate governance experience, which has been gained during various executive and non-executive board positions throughout his career.

Previously, Mark held the position of deputy chief executive and head of listings at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, where he negotiated an agreement with China's Deputy Premier on Hong Kong's ongoing position as a financial centre. He was joint managing director of Peregrine Capital Limited in Hong Kong, where he led the first Chinese listing in Hong Kong and New York for Shanghai Petrochemical and he was also an adviser to the Hong Kong Company Law Reform Commission.

Mr. Hanson was also previously group chief operating officer for Crosby Financial Holdings Limited, based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sri Lanka and was head of Investment Banking at ABN Amro (Saudi Hollandi Bank) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was chief executive officer of the Global Banking Corporation, an Islamic bank based in Bahrain, whose shareholders included the King of Bahrain, the Prime Minister of Qatar, the Royal Family of Kuwait, and certain Saudi families.

Between 2011 and 2014, Mr. Hanson was a non-executive director of Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd, where he was chairman of the audit and internal audit committees and a member of the remuneration and nomination committees. During this time, Gulf Keystone was, at one point, the largest company on AIM with a market capitalisation of around GBP1.5bn, before it transitioned to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

Currently, Mr. Hanson is a non-executive director of Phoenix Africa, an organisation founded in 2009 to build a series of businesses in the agricultural sector in Africa. He is also currently a non-executive director and a trustee of the International Positive Education Network.

Chairman of BNN Technology, Harry Keiley, said: "We are delighted to welcome Mark to our board and are looking forward to working with him. He will contribute his substantial experience in the Asia Pacific financial markets and other listed businesses, but we believe he will make an important contribution to improving our corporate governance and culture."

"We continue to look to strengthen our board with the correct talent and experience to ensure that the highest levels of corporate governance are adhered to for BNN in future and will update shareholders further in due course."

The Company's shares remain suspended from trading on AIM until the Company has finalised and announced its reconstituted board and executive management.

This Announcement contains inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of EU Regulation 596/2014 ("MAR").
