I imagine we'll start to get news of developments next week, as well as an RNS about the take-up of warrants. It was good tactics by management to hold back information during this period.

1) News on Star zinc
2) update on Vanadium testing
3) ACI drawdown
4) Number of warrants taken up (along with any potential holdings RNS's)
5) progress at Ester
6) interim results to Dec 2016
7) other recoveries germanium , silver etc
8) other recoveries (a blast from the past )

from LSE, to start conversation here.

Zinc, lead and V doing well. 😃

Are we going to sleep on here?

I wonder how many warrants were taken up, and the current number of shares in issue?

J99, thank goodness that they aren't such silly long numbers, we would be waiting until V recovery rates were 95%. On the ground $3,600,000,000 lol's. A gentle sustainable climb does me. Some say that the V series might be in the region of 65,0000 tonnes and that is 1 followed by the number of days in a year with 000000.

BWR, believe it's Vanidium cathodes, all a bit hush hush though.

Thanks again Fireball! Really surprised to see vanadium batteries being used for cars; I thought weight considerations would limit them to large scale static industrial uses (e.g.: off-grid uses like isolated solar-powered telephone masts, and on-grid uses like averaging out the power from wind and solar farms).
P.S. What price oil shares now? The electric vehicle revolution will soon be upon us, but the oil companies are still priced like it will never happen.

Oops! Thanks for pointing that out FB - should have been $80,000/tonne. However a read of both the articles suggest we probably won't be hitting those heights again any time soon. Probably a good thing as there wouldn't be enough noughts on my calculator to work out BMR's potential worth!

A follow up as closures reduce SA output. Can BMR fill some of that gap.

Nearly a year old but none the less interesting as market dynamics change. J99 a few Vanadium noughts to be added. It's reached over $80 kilo lol. That's another 0 on your price. Spectacular?

Yep, a 13m quid market cap company is sitting on top of between 50% and 100% of the world's yearly consumption of an increasingly important metal; you couldn't make it up!
(All resource figures to be JORCed and confirmed, but I take them on trust for now).

I'm also quietly excited about the V. Hopefully the quantities we have will be confirmed, if not increased, after the JORC testing is done (I would guess that would be complete by the time the pilot plant is ready)

If Walrus's figures are accurate, there is also 64K tonnes of it down the mine. So we seem to have a year's worth or more of the global supply of Vanadium on our property. As I mentioned elsewhere, if ever we were to get taken over, sold etc. it wouldn't surprise me if it's mainly for the V. We have a larger proportion of the total annual global supply of it than we do Zinc or Lead. If other uses for it take off could it even spike to over $8000/tonne as it has before?

Don't know what may happen if something like that occurs just as we come on stream with the plant? We might even hit 10p! :-p

Exactly, Fireball! Currently, 90% of the world's vanadium is used in making lightweight superstrong steel alloys. This use is growing, but there will also soon be an important new market for vanadium in redox flow batteries. Vanadium's price is only going up.
Looking ahead, BMR's vanadium can be transformative for the company - taking it from "a nice profitable little earner" into something much bigger and better.

Vanadium: BMR Group suggests possible vanadium recovery in Zambia
Posted by Dimpal on January 31, 2017
Roskill view: BMR is focused on the recovery of lead and zinc from the tailings deposits of the Kabwe mine in Zambia. This week, the company announced the potential recovery of vanadium and production of vanadium pentoxide from its tailings at Kabwe.

Metallurgical test work has shown that no modifications should be required to the acid brine leach section at the Kabwe plant to recover vanadium from tailings and take it into solution as a by-product.

The most up-to-date JORC-compliant report did not mention vanadium grades, so it is unclear as to how much BMR might be able to produce at Kabwe. A recent news announcement states that in theory, the plant could extract approximately 45kt of vanadium pentoxide. How much the plant could process on an annual basis is also not known. While such a quantity is large, it is not large enough to be a long-term influencer in the vanadium market (world production was roughly 90kt in 2016). Nonetheless, it may have a significant impact on BMR’s project economics.

To be honest, I don't really care about BNR's share price in the short term. IF the plant can be built more or less on time and on budget, and if dilution of the shareholders can be avoided in the process, then I'm happy.

It's very important to include the vanadium processing line in the plant - currently the vanadium is worth as much as the lead and zinc combined, and it will only increase in value with time.

" Spectacular" that's what I want to be able to finally say about the BMR share price!

And that does not mean how well we have done from a 3P (0.3P)all-time low!

So far its been a "LEAD Ballon" from 6.5P -7P trading range to 0.3P, last year and now 0.7P WOW!

I am not negative, I "ZINC" we can realistically hit the "LEADY" heights if we can consistently deliver on existing RNS releases, and that does not allow for the addition of STAR ZINC, The EXISTING KABWE MINE AND ITS SURROUNDING AREA, SILVER, AND RARE EARTHS that we know are there (check previous RNS releases) ETC, that may suddenly be "re-discovered" like our V!

Extraction technologies are improving all the time!

"BMR the Art of Mining without Mining" Now where have I seen that before?

Enjoy the Weekend ALL!
