09/11/2009 07:28 | LoL, I think my 1000 shares are now only 231 shares lol. BUT I have not taken into account the cash payments from BII for the 3 occassions. Pluto, so, this means I would have got £700 for my 1000 shares for the first payment or is the 70p per share worked out after the consolidation? Not sure if I'm making sense but any help would be appreciated. To cut a long story short, I am now living overseas, all my documents are in storage etc so I have no access to any correspondance. Thanks in advance. ST. | shortermer
08/11/2009 18:20 | Shortermer Am in almost the same position. Would you mind me asking how many shares your original 1000 have turned into?, As I cant remember how many I started with before all the consolodations. I think I origanly had mine as warrants and then took them up But can't remember the details. I wonder if Pluto would know. Thank you Pluto for your help. | pollysmate

08/11/2009 04:31 | Hi All, Can anyone help here. In 2002, I had 1000 shares in BII. Since then, I have totally forgotten about them, dont really look at the markets much. Have they had some sort of share consolidation over the years? Are my 1000 shares still 1000 shares?? TIA. ST | shortermer
04/11/2009 08:45 | excellent steady progress being made here. | tratante
04/11/2009 08:11 | Even better to see it exceeding expectations.....sho "Sales were ahead of expectations during the period and the Company now expects full year revenue to be around the upper end of the guidance that was increased, on 26 August 2009, to GBP24m - GBP26m. This revised range reflects revenue growth of 36% to 47% on the 2008 financial year. The Company generated GBP2.3m of net funds during the period closing with GBP31.8m as of 30 September. This was as a result of receiving the GBP3m milestone payment from Eisai Co. Ltd. ("Eisai"), as described below. The year end guidance for closing net funds was increased to GBP28m on 26 August 2009 and the Company now expects to exceed this figure." | dynamic2005

20/10/2009 16:40 | Held these since they sold the eye business and the movements are a tad strange. If any chartists like to give some input as they may see it developing would be most welcome from my perspective. We know that Invesco took a very large position some time ago and it makes me wonder if "consolidation" comes into the reckoning... Also this link was posted on another site which is very encouraging... | graham142
20/10/2009 15:17 | Rise continues, anyone hazard whether there is something afoot, or are we just catching up after a long period of moving sidewards? | tratante
19/10/2009 16:17 | Good point tratante.....steady sustaind progress will be better than fluctuating rollercoaster ride that some stocks have been experiencing. | dynamic2005
19/10/2009 15:00 | Dynamic, better orderly progress than sudden rises that only attract the wrong sort of poster, lunatic ramper derampers | tratante

24/9/2009 10:25 | Hi graham, yes it shows how fierce the competition is in the stent market. Abbott and Boston Scientific are slogging it out, with no clear winner. More interesting are the out this week that show our stent is showing (non-statistical) benefit in late stage thrombosis (exactly what it was designed to do!). However Medtronic are developing their own Resolute drug eluting stent. The latest show that their in-house stent coating is also working well. They are looking for FDA approval in 2012. Endeavor sales have been weak recently, but don't write it off yet. There are a few more head-to-head trials ongoing and Endeavor may come back into favour. Anyway, the stent business is the past - although the income is nice to have. If we get enough income to cover the dividend for the next 2 year I will be happy. | plutonian

10/9/2009 09:41 | Thursday, September 03, 2009 Biocompatibles talks to Proactiveinvestors about its unique drug delivery technology, strong revenue growth and its partnership with AstraZeneca Crispin Simon, Chief Executive of Biocompatibles International, talks about returning £126 million to investors, revenue growth of 54% in H1 2009, a product that has the promise of lower cost, lower toxicity, and a better response for patients' tumours, a partnership with AstraZeneca, and continuing to pay a dividend. | aim_trader
28/8/2009 15:51 | I understand that the dividend is here to stay. For the first few years it should be covered by stent royalties, but longer term will be paid out of profits. I expect it to stay at 5p for the foreseeable future as the bulk of the profits will be re-invested in the business (R&D/acquisitions). | plutonian
28/8/2009 11:54 | I agree, happy to sit on these for the long term. Do you think we will get a divi again this year, or was that a one off? I note the royalty income from the stent, which I think was the reason for last year's divi, has fallen this year | tratante
27/8/2009 14:27 | I make it 75p cash at the end of June 2009. It should still be above 70p at year end. The Delay in China is unfortunate, but not unexpected (by me). I am surprised by the slow recruitment for the stroke product. Maybe the stem cell issue is keeping doctors away. This will delay any potential partnering deal. | plutonian |
