26/3/2010 09:19 | Raymund, thanks for that very helpful info, appreciate your efforts. IC also have BII as a speculative buy this week. It all helps! Well done on a nifty bit of footwork. BII's speedy response also gives one confidence in the Co. They do seem to be getting it right. | tratante
25/3/2010 15:47 | Tratante, Some furter info to assist, I emailed BII last night asking what was going on and received a very helpful and prompt reply before 10.00 am, full marks to BII looking after its' PIs! After the first flash of blue this morning, I went back in early myself at 218.6p and subsequently opened SHARES magazine today to find BII BUY at 235p, so I am well pleased. `Clearly, BII has been greatly oversold (Edison have BII DCF valuation of 390p based on sales growth) and there has been a seller unwinding his position. The BII response to me follows: Thanks for your interest in and support for Biocompatibles. We too have been disappointed with the price performance following the results and have been told that it is due to a couple of reasons: 1. There appears to be a seller who came in ahead of the results and is now unwinding his position into a thin market. Our broker thinks that the position is now unwound fully. We appear to have come back positively this morning following yesterday's recent low. 2. Sentiment towards the sector is also very weak at the moment after a number of disappointments in the last few days (Vectura, Vernalis, Ark) We take our disclosure obligations seriously and there is nothing that we need to inform the market about. | raymund
24/3/2010 21:47 | Tratante, Fall seems quite excessive just for profit taking (although I did this myself recently at 248p and am looking to go back in) and would suggest that this is due to the tight market in BII giving MMs opportunity to screw the PIs. Probably best to sit tight noy but DYOR | raymund
24/3/2010 14:17 | didn't expect this much of a drop. Any suggestions about what's going on? | tratante
19/3/2010 09:42 | so of course the share price falls! | tratante
18/3/2010 13:08 | great results. Excellent progress on all major fronts and an increased dividend of 6.25p. Revenue should increase substantially in the next few years as they gear up production of the dermal filler bead and go for regulatory approval for renal cancer treatment in the far east, China and Japan and build sales in Korea (already approved. What I like about this company is the clear statement of goals and objectives for each year and the clarity with which the information is presented in the report. Still well underpinned by cash with the possibility of some big milestone payments if Astra decide to take up their exculsive option on the diabetes treatment CM3 in the next two years. Steady as she goes! | tratante
18/3/2010 10:39 | Proactive have updated their research! | andy

10/2/2010 22:18 | Thanks Pluto - you whippersnapper! Is anyone else able to tell me what might have happened re consolidations before 2002?? | wildmanof
10/2/2010 14:58 | wildmanof, As you saw, I listed the share consolidations in post 282, but I don't go back quite as far as you need. You should have received cash back in 2002,2003 and 2005, so you have had a good slice of your money back. There was also a 5p dividend paid in may last year which wil be increased to 6.25p in may this year. Pluto - old timer, but not as old as you by the sound of it ;-) | plutonian
10/2/2010 12:26 | Hi all, hope one of you 'old timers' can help: Looks like Biocompatibles did various share consolidations over the years and someone earlier checked what had happened since 2002 but I bought my shares in 1997 so am not sure if the new shares I have are for the correct amount?? I bought 173 shares on 11/09/1997 at £5.73 (a grand's worth - ouch!). Looks like they're worth very little today unless someone's made a mistake?! Also, Plutonian mentioned a dividend 'increased 25 to 6.25p' but I've not had anything from the company? When was the dividend due? Thanks. | wildmanof
