BIL FINANCE LIMITED CAPITAL NOTES WITH AN ELECTION DATE OF 15 OCTOBER 2007
("2007 CAPITAL NOTES") AND CESSATION OF LISTING OF BIL FINANCE LIMITED

BIL International Limited ("BIL") and BIL Finance Limited ("BFL") wish to
announce that BIL has exercised its option, under condition 4.5 of the
conditions applicable to the 2007 Capital Notes, to purchase for cash on 15
October 2007 (the "Election Date") the 2007 Capital Notes.

BIL has today paid to the holders for each 2007 Capital Note an amount equal to
the aggregate of the principal amount, accrued and unpaid interest (if any) as
at the Election Date.

BIL's decision to purchase the 2007 Capital Notes is in line with BIL's aim to
reduce group debt. This is also consistent with the approach taken by BIL in
respect of recent Election Dates.

Additionally, as noted in the announcement made by BIL and BFL on 31 August
2007, BFL now has no reason to remain listed with New Zealand Exchange Limited
("NZX") and will cease to be listed with NZX as of the close of business today.
