JK really nice guy but not the man to lead bvm forward. eps looks so good & divi was really quite juicy so ask yourself one question. If both are so good why are investors not falling over themselves to buy the stock.

A dividend of 0.13p, which we expected, would have cost only £130,000 and so it does look as if the acquisition being considered would stretch BVM's resources. The implication is that we will receive no dividend for 2014 if it proceeds and, indeed, there may be a dearth of dividends until it is absorbed.
Missing this divd is annoying but I would hate to see a large number of new shares issued at a discount.
Let us hope the acquisition is a good one.

up 13% on 200k where it was a week or so ago tells me nothing. Let it break through 6p before i let JK off the hook.

The market appears to like the results, unsurprisingly.

Much better to have an earnings-enhancing acquisition lifting EPS even further, to say 0.8p-0.9p EPS. And there may yet be a dividend anyway, the decision has only been postponed until BVM know whether the acquisition will go ahead or not.

The bullish outlook statement is however the best news.

Agree Harrogate. No divi on basis of possible acquisition, which is at an early stage will leave a few with a bad taste in their mouth. JK needs to step aside before this company can move forward.

GingerPlant, BVM actually did extremely well through the depths of the recession in remaining profitable and soundly financed.

It does seem that BVM is now on the up and up. Certainly one can see at least a 7p share price - 55% upside - in the short term based on 0.7p EPS this year, with further upside if the proposed acquisition comes off.

Given that we know BVM will continue to invest and will therefore continue to receive substantial R&D tax credits, dropping in a full tax charge would seem to be completely self-defeating in assessing true value.

Surely we should be thinking of looking at the rating based on a profit after a normal tax charge of say 20% rather than a tax credit. If you do that then EPS would be much lower and the rating high enough.

Excellent results - and worth quite a bit more given time and 'proof' IMHO. Probably up a bit today - but I'm more interested in where it will be a couple of years from now; double? The trouble is, we've had a few false dawns; seeming progress followed by two steps back.

Nevertheless, it's not too hard to imagine an op' profit of >£1m on revenues well over £10m and growing / optimistic etc., with a mkt cap of £9m / 9pps - all IMH (and optimistic...) O.

Excellent results, bang on target with 0.5p EPS and £0.7m net cash:

Most encouragingly, there's another acquisition on the cards, so BVM are postponing the final divi until it's finalised.

Forecasts are already 0.7p EPS for this year. Another acquisition, following the recent AFS purchase, could send forecasts up to say 0.9p EPS, which would leave the current share price looking ridiculously low.

Above all, the outlook statement is VERY positive:

""2014 was a much improved year with increased revenue and profits. The Group has made continued progress in extending its activities and offerings to cater for a wider and more discerning market. The Board believes that further progress will be achieved in the current year."

We already know the results from the trading update, so probably just one or two small sellers/profit-takers.

Forecasts are for 0.5p EPS from a £0.5m PBT (up from 2013's £0.34m PBT), with a 0.13p dividend.

This year shows 0.7p EPS, with a 0.15p dividend.

And the deferred contract falling into this year, plus the new acquisition, should give 2015 a nice boost.

A poster earlier today noted that there had been no posts at all whilst the price had increased 13% :o))

This is one of the quietest threads on ADVFN. So when things are actually happening, and occasional posts are made reporting buying going on AFTER the fact, with no speculation whatsoever, then you have to laugh when someone takes exception :o))

You can still sell 100k at 5.15p, a good premium to the bid, so it would seem the buyer is still there.

You lot just ramping the price with these superficial comments. No news out, but loads of speculation..... not a responsible stance to take imho !
