All four trades today for 137,000 shares are Buys, and almost all at the full 5.75p offer. Another tick up coming?

Now ticking up to new recent highs on unusual buying activity this morning - seven separate buys, with the latest at 5.7p.

The AGM statement must be relatively soon (last year's was 29th May).

Barclays.

I note that a 22k sell achieved an even higher 5.15p.

Cheers. Certainly looking good online at present - you can only buy 15k maximum at the full 5.5p offer, but there's demand for 100k at a premium at 5.13p.

Very good news from yesterday - Wincanton must be a fairly large account even if this isn't RNS-able, and this solution will roll out over the coming months, benefiting current year results:

"TouchStar retain Wincanton as key 3PL account

TouchStar have supplied fit for purpose warehouse terminals to Supply Chain Giants Wincanton for over ten years. Pleased with the service they have received from TouchStar, Wincanton have upgraded to TouchStar’s latest generation of warehouse terminals.

Back in 1993 TouchStar won the custom of market leaders in supply chain solutions Wincanton. TouchStar successfully installed narrow band and TouchStar’s older generation truck mount terminal, the Monaco into their GSK Brockworth and Middlewich sites. Due to many years of great service and support by TouchStar, Wincanton decided it was time to upgrade to TouchStar’s next generation of Warehousing solutions. Their existing Narrow band infrastructure is in the process of being upgraded to Wi-Fi and their terminals upgraded to TouchStar’s newest portfolio additions.

Wincanton experienced first-hand how TouchStar’s rugged devices had not only enhanced their warehouse operation but they had also seen a great return in their investment. It therefore made perfect sense to upgrade to TouchStar’s latest generation of Technology. They are currently installing the Vienna truck mount and the Boston 8550 handheld device. The Vienna is both rugged and fit for purpose with an IP65 rating, GPS and a faster operating system it is perfect for all warehousing environments. Similar to the Vienna, the Boston 8550 is perfect for rough and tough environments with a stainless steel chassis which adds to its robust design.

The upgraded solution will see Wincanton continue their successful business relationship with TouchStar Technologies. The solution is set to rollout over the next few months and will enable Wincanton to benefit from the markets latest generation of rugged warehouse terminals."

And another 50k bought at the full 5.25p offer price, with the price ticking up immediately.

There seems to have been a keen buyer out there for a while now.

The AGM will be on May 28th, so no doubt we'll get a trading statement together with progress (or not) on the potential acquisition, if we haven't heard anything more before then of course.

Agreed - a bid from SND would be great but I can't see it!

Norbert, plenty of links between the two companies where BVM provide the equipment to match Proteus' solutions, the most recent ones being with Touchstar Technologies rather than "Belgravium" per se, for example:

Rivaldo
Thank you for keeping us informed.
I hold shares in SND too and had not noticed their acquisition of Proteus.
SND's statement today tells us that they are still looking out for acquisitions but will concentrate for the time being on increasing their profit margin.
A bid by SND for BVM, unlikely as this may be, would be very welcome !

Riv - I should probably know this but what exactly is the commercial or other agreement between Proteus and BVM in their partnering - seems they are part of an alliance only so I assume there are no obligations on any party. I hadn't picked up they they had been bought by SND - thanks for that.

I notice that Proteus, BVM's warehousing software partner, were acquired by SND last December, and today they report that Proteus "has made a steady start as part of Sanderson and has made a positive contribution", which sounds reasonably encouraging.

Nice to see the share price bouncing this week. Forecasts remain at 0.6p EPS, with a 0.15p dividend.

NovoIVC have a new brochure out which is a good read:

Extract:

"Flexible payment solutions

Novo IVC were the first company to put Chip & PIN EPOS systems on-board an aircraft. PCI DSS v3 compliance provides fresh challenges and opportunities to Airlines and Railways. Novo IVC has the experience and partnerships to help you navigate these complexities. SkyPOS and TrackPOS are also multicurrency and
provide comprehensive reconciliation facilities. No sale need be lost from lack of flexible payment methods."

Cheers hastings, nice summary. Here's a direct link:

BVM is already cheap imo given 0.6p EPS forecast this year and a sound Balance Sheet, but BVM really should emphasise more its 40%-50% recurring income and the client list as follows:

"Among its many customers it can boast blue chip names such as Virgin Altantic, British Airways, DHL, Gulf and Wincanton to name but a few, and with a high level of repeat business."

The paragraph re the AFS acquisition also sounds promising:

"That purchase is providing both synergies and extensions into complex environments such as hospitals, food manufacturing and high-end retail, perhaps signalling a renewed energy to take the business to another level."

VERY interesting online now. You can only buy a maximum 15k at the full 5.5p offer, but you can sell a whopping 200,000 at 5.26p - almost the mid-price.
