Hello htrocka, the results period of course relates to the time leading up to MNG's entry. But it is the current board which adds its interpretation & views as to what is happening now as a consequence. It is the current board's opinion we are reading with respect to future funding requirements, for instance.

There is no way that these Turkish investors would have put $30m in to this to flush it down the toilet, they are expecting at least 10x that back for their investment, I've met loads of Turkish businessmen and I can assure you they will make this work.

With the new BOD etc you'd expect a 'kitchen sink'-style first set of results.
Today's don't alter my view here anyway.
Further funding is probably now only needed to 'optimise results' not just to survive, as previously.

Nearly a penny drop...surprised but many have predicted such on a few bb's. How did this ever get to mid-40's? Glitter certainly tarnished now. More pain before they deliver, and when do they deliver?

I think I'm going to let the share price stabilize a little after today... it doesn't look good at all... then sell the lot.
Appointment of a lead Director to deal with conflicts of interest ?!!!
Stop/Start operations ?... this was ticking along fine until the Leaks.
Ops Costs that seem detrimental to the actual the value of Gold ?!

Wish I'd sold last week in all honesty.
Will have to ride the Waves a little now I think and pick an opportune moment to get out.

Q2 are out......baring in mind that the results reflect the period ending June 30th....before MNG Gold Jersey Ltd came on board.


The possibility of delisting has been eliminated.....

'The Company confirms that it remains committed to maintaining its listing on both the AIM and TSX markets'

Let's hope the new professional management can now turn this round.

The hardest thing to predict is the timing. However, somewhere in the near future this chart should move up strongly. 13p is the initial target.

It's because they know what's coming out of the ground that they're making all this commotion....If there was little coming out of the ground there would be little commotion.

I think the villagers see they are being robbed and want something for losing their homes to make way for a mine. To me it suggests aue/mng have started production and locals know what is coming out of the ground. They are less patient than uninformed pi's. Be positive.

Investing in unstable countries is not advisable, my other Gold stock CEY is just as volatile.

I think I'll move my holding into SXX what's left of it.

Sounds like the locals have more info than the shareholders. Give the hearts and minds stuff which obviously the PR Manager is not at liberty to do, as yet.
They have taken land there and cleared the locals. For what? The locals know and want their share. As for pi shareholders; they can wait!

The story is a bit one sided..Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia, is in the photo who was also President of Liberian Bank for Development and Investment...Aureus have had a rough start, but it seems that the 'I want it now' society are banging their drums.

Fresh report coming from the Aureus Mining area in Grand Cape Mount County, Kinjor Township in Gola- Konneh district, speaks of serious tension brewing between the management of the Company and citizens of the district which report said led hundreds of angry women and youth groups to hold hostage the Public Relations Manager of the Company, Mr. Shiek Sonii.

The Chairman of the Elders Council in the district, Mr. Cyrus Fahnbulleh, the citizen’s action is intended to attract the attention of local county authorities and the government that are insensitive to the plight of the citizens as a result of the Company’s inability to address the wellbeing of the people of the district.

The citizens expressed disappointment that Sheik Sonii, a son of Grand Cape who is a middle person between the company and the citizens of Kinjor Township has also shown no interest in helping his people to address their concerns.

Mr. Fahnbulleh speaking further to the GNN said Mr. Sonii has been held hostage since Wednesday morning at the town hall, something he noted prompted an emergency meeting by the Elders Council of Kinjor to see how best this situation could be addressed.

Our reporter also said the General Manager of the Aureus Mining Darby Allen was also held hostage by the disenchanted citizens, but was later released following the swift intervention of some elders, Chairman Fahnbulleh told our reporter.

Citizens of Kinjor have over the time carried out series of demonstrations against alleged bad labor practices, poor health and educational benefits, police brutality, and other inhumane treatment being meted against them by the multi-million dollar gold mining company, claims the Aureus Mining management always denied.

The youth groups have meanwhile vowed to hold Mr. Sonii hostage until their concerns are addressed.

However, when the General Manager of the Company, Mr. Darby Allen was contacted via a mobile phone to ascertain the facts surrounding this current hostility at his company’s site, he confirmed but said both parties, the elders, women group and youth groups on the one and and his management on the other hand are working out modality to amicably resolve the tension that is brewing between them.
