As I've said before a complete shambles, trying to cut corners, using substandard equipment has come home too roost.

South again. 3p must be what they seek? So much for stories of imminent news of restart.

Was going to have some at 24p but pretty fortunate not to have. Watching but waiting for this extra funding before I am willing to commit

Why do people even look at charts of the share price? Charts of the market cap would be much more revealing.

'an exercise price of GBP 0.338 per share, being equal to the closing price of the common shares on 8 August 2016 on AIM, exercisable as follows: one-half after one year; and one-half after two years. The stock options issued are capable of being exercised up to 8 August 2021.

That's one hell of a target....

Definitely one to watch closely or buy.....I expect this to come good even if not in the short term.
Have small position presently.

I'm almost tempted to buy at this price.

One risk though is that MNG put more money in at even less than the last price...

With ref to Reading's management...(what's the point of having a Mine if you can't Mine)

'Although the miner has been given the green light to start up the plant again, Aureus was previously waiting for a consignment of additional reagents, substances used during the processing of ore, to be delivered before resuming and then gradually ramping-up activity..'

I sometimes wonder if these idiots have actually ever been in mining, it is shambolic IMO, a bunch of clowns running this company and they expect huge wages as well.!!!!

I'm sure that MNG went over AUE with a fine tooth comb prior to investing. Had it been previously successfully managed I doubt they would be there now. They saw flaws in an operation that was haemorrhaging cash that had synergies with their own better run companies and took advantage of AUE's demise. From where I'm standing, it was nothing less than a take over by the back door...no doubt with the intention of turning this ramshackled company into a professionally run enterprise.

You'd assume that MNG would have gathered some insight into what was or wasn't happening before they invested & took over.Telling us the worst 'news' now seems sensible .
I'm sure you could take over any company & then start telling everyone about what efficiencies you'll make. The best is definitely to come on the basis that it can't get much worse & the gold hasn't left.

ref: Dogwalker.

'However, mining operations continue to be hampered by low equipment availability, with a consequential adverse effect on unit mining cost. The Company is currently undertaking a review of the options to remedy the situation.

Management is also undertaking a full supply chain review to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements'

It looks like an over haul of the complete operation. The down time, due to various issues, have been loaded against unit costs. I'm sure this will now be top of the agenda for the new boys. Reading did his best, he was head of Randgold's exploration unit and tried his hand at production...unsuccessfully as it turned out. If memory serves correctly, he kept running out of explosives, that's just a small insight into his planning prowess. The Mines production target was 27,0000zs...it got no where near that. The next six months should be a different story. With an obvious bias as an investor, I'd like to think that the best is yet to come.
