08/8/2016 12:43 | With ref to Reading's management...(what's the point of having a Mine if you can't Mine) 'Although the miner has been given the green light to start up the plant again, Aureus was previously waiting for a consignment of additional reagents, substances used during the processing of ore, to be delivered before resuming and then gradually ramping-up activity..' | htrocka2
08/8/2016 12:34 | I sometimes wonder if these idiots have actually ever been in mining, it is shambolic IMO, a bunch of clowns running this company and they expect huge wages as well.!!!! | beeezzz
08/8/2016 12:29 | I'm sure that MNG went over AUE with a fine tooth comb prior to investing. Had it been previously successfully managed I doubt they would be there now. They saw flaws in an operation that was haemorrhaging cash that had synergies with their own better run companies and took advantage of AUE's demise. From where I'm standing, it was nothing less than a take over by the back door...no doubt with the intention of turning this ramshackled company into a professionally run enterprise. | htrocka2
08/8/2016 11:32 | You'd assume that MNG would have gathered some insight into what was or wasn't happening before they invested & took over.Telling us the worst 'news' now seems sensible . I'm sure you could take over any company & then start telling everyone about what efficiencies you'll make. The best is definitely to come on the basis that it can't get much worse & the gold hasn't left. | dogwalker
08/8/2016 11:17 | ref: Dogwalker. 'However, mining operations continue to be hampered by low equipment availability, with a consequential adverse effect on unit mining cost. The Company is currently undertaking a review of the options to remedy the situation. Management is also undertaking a full supply chain review to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements' It looks like an over haul of the complete operation. The down time, due to various issues, have been loaded against unit costs. I'm sure this will now be top of the agenda for the new boys. Reading did his best, he was head of Randgold's exploration unit and tried his hand at production...unsucce | htrocka2 |
