03/11/2015 09:41 | Associated British Foods FY results a little ahead of estimates; outlook calls for modest year-on-year EPS decline November 3 2015 Morning briefing SECTORS: Foods COMPANIES: Associated British Foods DAVY VIEW ABF delivered a third year of broadly stable earnings, offsetting sugar profit declines and FX headwinds through Primark growth and improvements in the Grocery and Ingredients divisions. The reduction in net debt was particularly noteworthy (0.1x EBITDA), driven by lower capex and disposal proceeds. The 2015/16 outlook calls for good underlying trading to continue into the current year. As previously flagged by ABF however, FX transactional impacts will temper reported performance and a modest decline in adjusted operating profit and adjusted EPS is expected. Our current EPS forecast is 100.2p, c.2% below the 2015 outturn | philanderer | |
