Too much uncertainty yet Anony. They will get there but this rate hike will create a barrier short term.

Yes Anony Mous interesting reading. If you go further back the share price peaked at c£35 in 2008and c£34 in 2011. Doesn't mean that this will be repeated or that we are definitely part way up the next peak, however I am optimistic as I feel that talk of the Chinese economic slowdown has been exaggerated and that as a construction man Trump will be keen to see the US infrastructure re-developed.

Just been looking at 5 year chart.Dont know why I missed it but looking carefully then see from about £12.50 / £13.00 there is hardly any resistance up to £20.00.Could be about a 4 or 5 month window though.

That GS article is very good. At least they explain why they have a buy even though it's come from such lows to now.

Never rule anything out.Markets could pull down AAL's pants to 3 quid like last time. Doubt it though.Within up channel from about 10 quid anyway so plenty room.

What's bothering me is rate hike + sale fall through = back down to £9. Sentiment + Dividend reinstatement + Sale positive = £15 more upside then downside but like I said I'm not invested at the moment.

No idea!! markets are so volatile at the moment it could go anyway, hence my exit last week. I'm still watching however and looking for an entry point.

Anglo American rough diamond sales value for
De Beers' ninth sales cycle of 2016

Anglo American plc announces the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auction Sales) for De Beers' ninth sales cycle of 2016, amounting to $470 million, compared with the $494 million value of the eighth sales cycle of 2016.
Bruce Cleaver, CEO of De Beers, said: "Encouragingly, the ninth sales cycle of 2016 showed continued good demand for De Beers rough diamonds, with sales in line with expected seasonal demand patterns."

Like you Balbains I sold out during the higher range but not the very top.
Great company and will be back again.
An investment manager(my brother)once told me,'only a fool say's he buys at the bottom and sells at the top,as its hardly possible, but a profit is always good'
