Leaky, leaky, should now be forced to issue an RNS.

And now they know N2 has a deeper pay zone. They expected 16m and got 51m. So from the 16m suppose they got 5m net pay, now it's drilled they have higher than expected pressures and net pay of 25-30m. I.e. 5-6 times more net pay and greater pressures.

Blackgold, so the well was targeting the Likonde gas that I thought it had hit, but maybe not at the depth they thought??

Yes, BG, but the well positions have changed since too. "N-2" first appeared after that RNS. And that well position, or something near it, is now the proposed N-3. The N-2 that has just been drilled appeared as a well position more recently, in the April 2016 presentation.Further analysis may have had something to do with it, but also a need for a low risk appraisal of the N-1 discovery.Peter

yep all changed after interpretation of new seismic data, first they were going to side-track NT-1 but then they decided it would be better to drill a new well which became the new NT-2 and the original NT-2 well 5 Kilometers away became NT-3

11 September 2014

Ruvuma OPERATIONAL UPDATE

"The new interpretation has shown that an additional target exists for an appraisal well that would intersect the Ntorya gas and condensate sands encountered in Ntorya-1 and an extension of the Lower Tertiary sands that were found to have oil and gas shows in the earlier Likonde-1 well to the north. This additional target has further increased the recently announced resource potential from 1.9 to 2.3 Tcf (Pmean GIIP)."

Ah ok cool. N2 with its increased pay zone could be interesting in that case.

That's not true.NT-3 is now what up until mid 2015 was going to be NT-2Prior to that NT-3 wasn't on the agenda.NT-2 just drilled is an appraisal of NT-1 updipNT-3 is a drill the other side of s fault into different but more extensive channel sands. NT-3 is the prize and company maker.

I mean too far up-dip too soon. Chasing oil up-dip is a methodical process.

tidy 2, I suspect that swapping N2 and N3 was to chase the oil up-dip. No point going too far up-dip as you risk hitting water.

See they threw the "traces of oil" in there.
Presume this is why they are drilling deeper? And possibly to find GWC

Nope, as stated in the RNS, they are only going slightly deeper to give them space to set the base of liner below the pay zone

Tidy- Thanks again.
Anyone not asked why?
Do they have investor conferences ? Phone/meetings?

Maybe they will start if they are sat on multi tcfs.
How many shares in issue?

The location of N2 now where they have drilled used to be called N3 and the current location of N3 was originally called N2. Don't know why they switched it.
