Interesting article on how Offshore/Shipbuilding Yards are tackling the 'downturn' whilst the oil prices are low.
hxxp://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/143950/Marine_Industry_Looks_To_Cruise_Ships_Wind_Farms_To_Weather_Oil_Slump
I'm expecting a further order, of some kind in the second-half of this year, if not before. POO continues it's recovery, and looks very bullish going forward as stock-piles diminish and demand picks up.

Won't allow proactiveinvestors.com links, just go to site & search AMED's articles; although some are dated admittedly.

Especially with the exponential growth of India’s need for oil & raw materials(possibly overtaking China’s rate of growth) in the next several years, there will be an increasing need, once again, for rigs/oil exploration, and transportation on seas of oil/raw materials requiring container ships etc.
Glen Lau, as a former Chairman of PPL Shipyards, has huge experience & global contacts; although we’ve seen a disappointing downturn in demand, I believe, this can only, return/recover, in time. If you look back at the last few Proactiveinvestors.com articles, insights into AMED’s goal.

The recent year’s of downturn, has however meant that the main competitors to YZJ Offshore Engineering, i.e, other ship/rig &offshore yards have suffered badly, are hugely in debt, and indeed some have or are likely to shut down, altogether(as an example, PPL Shipyards & Paragon Shipping.
Recent article on Paragon Shipping’s misfortunes

However, our JV Partner continues to grow from strength to strength.

And a link re our Jack-up Rig & JV Partner

You’ve got to look at the bigger picture here, AMED are supported not only by aforementioned Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, but by a number of multi-million £ capt global based companies, notably, QIC, hxxp://www.qatarinvcorp.com/
AMED are debt-free, have over $3Million in cash, regular yearly income from their 50% holding in MGR Resoucers, which should see recovery in fortunes, going forward with iron ore prices & raw materials in, increasing demand. QIC’s involvement with MGR
hxxp://www.qatarinvcorp.com/other-investments/
As far as I can see AMED’s yearly expenditure, is roughly about £400K(4 employees only) countered somewhat by their MGR revenue. AMED’s expenditure, includes, Glen Lau’s salary of £85K & Mr Zafarullah Karim £55K. They are incentivised by their £1 share-price target options.
That’s enough for me & links; my advice, attractive, though speculative, at present share price & market capt, one to Tuck away in bottom draw!

Today's very positive oil outlook, India's huge future demand(Rig demand?)

Will post over the weekend, although haven't managed to speak to management today; too busy.
About time a recovery, of sorts. A long way to go.

We've dropped from 30p roughly, on just small volumes of tiddly sells. Often days of one or two sells or no trades!

Bye the way, last year's W H Ireland Broker Report suggests 76p!

hxxp://www.sharetrading.news/2016/03/31/amedeo-resources-lonamed-broker-price-targets-2/

No negative news since this June recommendation, although delay to final delivery/commissioning of Rig to Prinsip Offshore Drilling(for their benefit/preference, possibly, taking in account oil price slowly recovering from dire prices)
Enclosed broker report also doesn't mention their 50% shareholding, subsequent yearly income(approx. 200K+ from MGR Resources(loan set up from Amedeo to MGR a few years ago)

Amedeo's yearly expenditure is only approximate running at £400K.

Agreed, hopefully set for an almighty recovery, over next few months, on possible positive news.

I'll post a few positive reasons, facts later(likely tomorrow) and will try to contact management, London Office tomorrow too.

Hopefully this new thread will see a sign of recovery in the appalling share price

Delays = loss of profit in my opinion.Share price tells the tale. We I met Zafar karim 2 years ago he was talking about the modest market cap of £28M lol. The Keel was layed in April 2014. Nearly 2 years ago. Today the market cap is less than €4M.I guess no insider buying but what the hell do I know.

It's been some weeks since I've looked at Amedeo's Home page; however I believe they've recently added/changed their wording under 'Welcome to Amedeo Resources plc'
Apart from removing the obvious outdated 'Rig is to be delivered August 2015' which I'm pretty sure ended the Welcome paragraph, I don't recall seeing the following;
'The investment policy does not preclude the Company making an investment which may be deemed to be a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules. Any transaction constituting a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules will be subject to shareholder approval'

So maybe there's 'life in the old/lame dog' after all!!!
Intriguing, for us long suffering P.I's!
Still WTFDIK. DYOR.

Below taken from 28 September RNS
'YZJ Offshore's first order, Explorer 1, is on schedule and to quality for completion by the end of this year. Following completion, commissioning will commence, a process which takes several months, and then the rig will be delivered'.
However, RNS of 21 December states
'Testing, including to American Bureau of Shipping classifications, and commissioning, which constitute a key part of the delivery package, have already commenced and are expected to be completed during 2016'.

Also apart from expected monies from the final delivery to Prinsip Offshore Drilling, we have monies outstanding to us from our loan to MGR Resources, as stated in 28 September RNS, as below,
'MGR paid US$1,950,100 to Amedeo as repayment of its convertible loan that was granted in April 2013. MGR still has a loan of US$1,868,000 outstanding to Amedeo'

So financially, we should be quite robust, taking in account the figure of 'US$3,281,000 cash on balance sheet as at 30 June 2015', stated again in the RNS of 28 September.

Significant Iron Ore price recovery lately & other commodity prices, at least should benefit our 50% interest in MGR Resources.

Now incredibly difficult to pickup any shares. So any purchases will likely move share price up. Watch for premium buys as an indicator of a mm desire to work a buy order.

Shares in issue: 32,653,843

Not in public hands: 66.37% (Qatar Investments 61.09%, Global Tech Investments 5.28%)

So number of shares not in public hands is 21,672,355
So number of shares available to trade is 10,981,488

However, if you now include the other two main shareholders, namely Mena Global Investments PTE Ltd (9.2%) and Dune Engineering PTE Ltd (5.19%) both of whom are way out of the money, then

Number of shares not in public hands is 26,371,243
Number of shares available to trade is 6,282,600

So only a 19.24% likely free float, hence why it is so difficult to acquire any shares.
