    CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT

    HAMBLEDON MINING PLC
    (AIM: HMB)


    At today's Annual General Meeting of Hambledon Mining Plc (the "Company" or "Hambledon"), the Chairman, George Eccles, commented;

    "We are pleased that the Sekisovskoye mine is now in production. Production has increased markedly in July compared with June and we are
seeing steady progress towards our target production. We are planning the implementation of  the underground operations which will give a
considerable boost to our gold output.

    "At Ognevka, we are studying how best to proceed with the significant opportunity which exists there.

    "The Board remains optimistic about the prospects for the Company".

    All resolutions at the AGM were duly passed.
