                ALLIED GOLD LIMITED ("ALLIED" OR "THE COMPANY")


                                ISSUE OF EQUITY


The Company announces that a total of 100,000 Fully Paid Ordinary Shares were
issued pursuant to an exercise options at $0.50 per share. The Shares will rank,
pari passu, with all existing ordinary shares, and trading of the Shares on AIM
is expected to commence on 15 April 2008.


This brings the total shares on issue to 374,953,613 and total Options over
Ordinary Shares to 6,923,261, approximately 1.85% of the issued share capital.
