yes, results leak. That is why we're at 20p not 30p.

Perhaps a few pence down still to suffer, but starting to look like a buying opportunity again IMHO

Possible that results which are due next week are below "market expectations" and that "the market" as usual has got wind of this.

Or, someone has a big stake to sell. Funds have been raised over last year for acquisitions. Can't remember exact structure.

Just possibilities. Don't know for sure!

Anyone who is interested in why share price might have fallen, I suggest reading the trading update issued in Jan this year.

Issues highlighted: fall in forward price of electricity in 2016, operating issues, net debt.

To this I would add: fall in value of share of Egdon, after transfer of fracking assets and general fall in energy sector.

I bought in before this update and before share price fell from 30p. Have averaged down a bit, but was frustrated by my timing of first purchase. I have been in and out of ALK over the years. Usually make a small profit. Love the idea of the company, but IMO sometimes their acquisitions/ JVs don't give value for money.

I nearly bought this share price on the back of all of the postive posts here and one other forum, ie nearly broke my own rule re not falling for the hype on most threads

This stock has been hit by the fall in the oil price and the apparent demise of fracking in the UK. And, like many other stocks which are involved in fringe areas, the market does not understand or want to understand it. They are to ready to chuck sheds of money at trashy stocks selling online pie in the sky but may perhaps start learning some serious lessons when the lights start going out, thanks to political stupidity.

Massively below 200day MA, convergence on the MACD towards a sell AGAIN!
and the 15 day MA has crossed to the downside suggesting the market is looking for new lower lows.

I am so depressed!! How is it possible for an electricity generator (using waste gas) in a country short of prime time electricity, to have lost half its value in 12 months?

For goodness sake!!

2 things happened:

1) UK Fracking has dissappeared off the radar
2) Oil prices have fallen.

This has severely affected the Share price of EGDON (EDR) of which ALK holds a large slice in exchange for the fracking rights on it's PEDL licences.

However, the fall in oil prices has not been mirrored by a fall in electricity prices which is of course the core business for ALK.

ALK is still well profitable, doesn't have much debt and has forward sold a lot of it's capacity for next year at decent prices.

ALK also pays a dividend which is more than covered.

this is a no-brainer for a recovery in my book!

When I posted on another forum up until a couple of months ago, I was very likley to invest but noted as usual that several user names were always too postive and that worried me.

Anyway, cut a long story short, I stopped looking at these shares a few weeks back and then saw the share price today - WTF happened guys,
