                       Alexon Group PLC ("the Company")

                 Grant of Performance Share Plan Share Awards

On 26 April 2006, the Company granted Performance Share Plan Share awards to
PDMRs over, in aggregate, 320,000 Ordinary  Shares of 10 pence each under the
terms of the Alexon Group 2002 Performance Share Plan ("PSP"). The options are 
exercisable between 26 April 2010 and 26 October 2010:
