mfhmfh: share price rising and starting to reflect the quality of the company. IMHO
mip55: SoundBuy that: 15 Oct 2015 Acal PLC ACL finnCap Buy 269.00 269.00 Reiterates........ Could that be an error?.....last target was 339. Seems odd broker target is current share price
epsilon mojo: Not shown much strength recently valediction :-( Strange how this has drifted lower on small volumes despite saying they would be ahead of expectations; currently trades on a 2011/12 pe of 12 with earnings set to more than double over the next 2 years - very cheap imv (cheaper still if, as I suspect, FY results on 1st June herald further eps upgrades). Momentum clearly behind this business imo, despite the recent share price performance. Expecting a return to strength soon :-)
epsilon mojo: Wondered what those enormous trades were yesterday - Activa Capital selling 5% & the share price still goes up; bodes well for the next 12 months imv. Interested to know why they sold though if anyone knows.
targatarga: liveinhope - just returned from a fishing trip.... turned out as a bigger waste of time as holding these. My fear is the management speak could be an extension of what were heard before. Remember acal had a share price in excess of £5 not so many years ago. Where has that value gone? With the massive cash injection from the sale of messagelabs i was hoping for some reassuring green shoots. Yes we hear about the sse but thats only a small part of the group. Will try and have another look tomorrow. regards tt
liveinhope: targatarga - how do you read results out today? Market seems indifferent on these. At least a dividend of 3.5p being paid but not fully covered by earnings etc. SSE keep being mentioned in results and as having solid Management so will be interested to learn progress in how they are changing ASC part of business and how this is going. IMHO share price up with events and do not expect any fireworks in short term on this share.
liveinhope: Rainmaker - rose tinted glasses? Agree at current share price could be good recovery punt but remember 700p + share price. Happy days.
rainmaker: Acal Chairman, Richard Moon's £50k's worth £30k for him and another £20k for a Company where he is a Director.By my calculation Net Working Capital is 113p a share so with the share price of 90p,a bargain ratio of 1.25. Very thinly traded. regards
liveinhope: Big fall in share price yesterday and early doors today despite completion of sale news. Could do with some Director buying to soothe City nerves?
aleman: Market seems to have decided a little profit-taking is in order. This is understandable if a little disappointing. A quick glance through the results shows that the just covered dividend yields 5.9% at 365.5p, but it seems to be reasonably financed by cashflow. More importantly the trend was for a profit recovery in H2 from a disappointing H1 on a decent turnover improvement, so that the dividend should be more comfortable financed next year, even if it doesn't get increased. I would suggest the share price looks modest on this basis with a target of nearer 450p if stockmarkets ever stabilise.
