Triex Minerals Corporation: Drilling Starts at Riverlake Property, Saskatchewan

Triex Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:TXM) (the "Company") continues to
actively advance and drill-test top priority targets within its portfolio of
uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, and is pleased to
provide an update of activities. Property details, including ownership and

The 2008 summer drill program at the Riverlake & Highrock properties is now
underway. Up to 2,500 metres of diamond drilling is planned to test three main
areas. The targets are near-surface, basement-hosted uranium associated with
steeply dipping, laterally continuous conductors identified by an airborne EM
survey in 2007, and confirmed and refined by a ground HLEM survey earlier this
year. The conductors have not been previously drill-tested.


Reconnaissance surface geochemistry and prospecting will be done elsewhere on
the properties, concurrent with drilling.


The Riverlake and Highrock properties consist of eight mineral claims covering
31,762 ha. The claims are in two groups, located on either side of Highway 914
at the southern margin of the Athabasca Basin, south of the Key Lake mine. Triex
has the right to earn up to a 70% interest in the property from Raytec
Development Corporation.


Dr. Allan Armitage, Ph.D., P.Geo., Vice President - Exploration of Triex, is a
Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and is responsible
for program design and quality control of exploration undertaken by the Company.
