Yep cant/wont sell the ICAC I have but the total investment is so low it is not a concern more a curiosity. I was given the impression that the inference to the possibility of capital share holders getting anything was merely a legal formality. Something funds legally have to do to cover themselves in the event of a large increase in assets at the last moment.

You win some you lose some.
In the info around the reconstruction they didn't rule out the possibility of some residual funds to pay the Capital Shareholders. However they also stated this would be after the new shares were up & running and all others had been settled in full.
So Zip sounds correct, although the person who bought a million yesterday might know better. (he did only gamble £250)

No Ecofin long gone, but still holding Utilico.
I have the Ord's, Zero's and some CULS all doing well.
I also bought at launch Utilico Emerging Markets, also going well.

All better than some of the Pharma Stocks I tried.

Hello, well done purse. I bought in when ICAC showed a glimmer of NAV. Not a big deal.

I've only got the caps ICAC so as you say unlikely to get anything or much. The other class your thinking of is ICAY geared units 1 income share and 1 capital share.

Live and learn. Are you still holding Ecofin ECWC's?

Hi again, I have some of these as ICAX the units, they are subject to a series of EGMs terminating and rolling into a new trust. If approved trading ceases on 26th Feb 2007 (I think). According to the prospective the Zeros will get their full share, the incomes will not quite achieve the maximum, it is unlikeley that there will be anything left for the Caps.
I thought there was only 3 classes Zero, Inc & Cap, there are however 2 units ICAX has 1 of each in, I'm not sure what the other has. Interestingly it pays a quarterly div, due 02/02 and will pay its final divi 27/02, this is early due to the proposed wind up & roll over.
Mine held in an ISA and will have been a minor success, allowing for reinvesting the divi.

Bought a few of these for fun. They are lowly ranking Capital shares without a NAV however there is a slim chance as markets rise the asset value could up tick so as to become in the money.

The hurdle SP% according to splitsonline is a massive 21.2% so buying these is extremely risky and actually not even recommended.

Term : Hurdle share price (%)

Definition : The annualised growth rate of the gross assets required to fully repay the current share price after repaying loans, wind up costs, interest and management fees charged to capital over the remaining life of the share.

They rank behind Ordinaries, Incomes and Zeros!
