ICAP Plc has come a long way from the days when it was a privately owned broker called Intercapital Brokers. After a reverse takover of Exco, a merger with Garban, takeover of Brokertec and several other takeovers it has become the world's largest voice and electronic interdealer broker. With the possible takeover of EBS, ICAP will not be far off from joining the FTSE 100!
