What’s it like to support the staff of a fast-growing IT consultancy?
Triad’s Business Support Administrator has worked with Triad Group Plc for half her life. Gina Bonaccorsi explains why.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Investors and potential investors should note not only the article itself, but the headline.

🚀A FAST GROWING IT CONSULTANCY🚀

Compare that, with the pedestrian growth projected by the competition.

KNOS

Revenue is forecast to grow 8.1% p.a. on average during the next 3 years, compared to a 6.9% growth forecast for the IT industry in the United Kingdom.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

8.1% is dire, though its a tad above the forecast average for the sector of just 6.9%.

Investors should in my personal view be looking for growth rates of at least 25% for the next 3 years from ANY stock they may own or purchase.

KNOS results out this morning: Up 10% so far.

Huge IT consultant company,(where TRD could be in ten or twelve years time.)

This one paragraph stood out over everything else.

“Generative AI remains largely experimental for our clients, often delayed by the challenges of low data quality for their more complex, organisation-specific use cases.”

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Just like the Gold mining booms, it was those delivering the picks and shovels who prospered.

Investment and investors are pouring money into AI like no tomorrow, when the real winners will be those with the data skills for implementation into very complex systems.

In simple terms, each extra consultant hired and working at the desired utilisation rate chips in to a growing pool of profit.
Triad is tiny in stock market terms, adding say, 50 consultants per year will have a massive impact on EPS.
A large slice of those earnings can be returned to share holders in the form of dividends.

It’s the future earnings and dividends that will attract new investors.

Government contracts are no longer going to be won on price.

Triad have the talent to provide solutions that are the most advantageous. ( As per the new procurement Bill)

The competition hires the average, who produce average results.

The larger players ( non SME’S ) are going to have to adapt overnight, to have a greater chance of winning new contracts, or see market share eaten away.

One way out for them, is to tie up with an SME with bid proposals.

Hence they will only want to do that with trusted partners , with a reputation of best delivery .

NET :

Simply Wall St has the two companies you mention above on near identical PE ratios of 26 and 28 with projected growth rates of C: 10%.

Triad will not have a PE ratio until real profits are delivered for the 6 months to 30 Sep 2024.

At a minimum the PE ratio will then need to be reduced by at least 50% to take account of just 6 months of trading not 12.

The attraction of Triad over BYTES and SOFTCAT is two fold.

1/ Triads full order book, new hires, and Chairmans remarks in the recent trading update combined, point to substantial, monthly growing profits, during 2024 and beyond.

2/ Triad are much smaller and can grow profit much faster expressed as a % than the above bigger players. (10% is not attractive to myself.)

An investors dream ticket is owning shares in a stock that is potentially going to be rerated from a low starting point, first to hit an average PE Ratio for the sector, and then go on to be awarded a premium Ratio as the quality of earnings and the companies growth rate are factored in.

“I am delighted to have been asked by Crown Commercial Services to share my thoughts with the CCS SME Working Group this Thursday on the new Procurement Act. Great to see this sort of engagement with SME’s – I am sure our collective efforts will lead to better outcomes for all.”

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

CCS = Crown Commercial service: It is they, who put out the Government contracts Triad and others bid for.

Fantastic to see our CEO being invited to explain how he thinks the bid process can be improved and made easier for SME”S to win a larger slice of the Government computer IT spend cake.

The CCS is re writing the old EU rule book ready for launch in October.

Personally i am convinced this will smash open Government doors allowing the very best SME”S to expand at pace.

Topping this, is the fact, to get exposure to this stock market sub segment, through an SME, is near impossible. That over time may see investors channel funds into Triad stock. ( lack of choice ). The alternative is larger companies with slower growth rates.

Hence TRD have yet another edge in its goal to becoming the United Kingdoms favourite consulting company by 2025.

The official order book ( ie what you and i can see on the uk Governments Contracts Finder page ) has increased near TEN FOLD over Triads last financial year.

Thats just the large Uk Government orders.

Yesterday we have been told the order book is still growing at pace.

As another poster rightly points out, orders are not profits, but they are in my view , around 70% of getting there.

Triad shares have seen a re rate based on order growth, however the real buying from investors will only show when profits are delivered.

We also know margings will be higher for two main reasons

1/ More work = minimal time to be on the bench. ( staff ).

2/ A larger workforce to cover total overheads.

I think the RSI does not really work for thinly traded stocks. All it is saying is there was a rash of buys and now there isn't just the odd sell or two. This stock is really driven by news from various sources and or random investors pilling in at random times...

The government is going to ensure SME’S gain a far larger slice of the cake going forward.

The issue for investors is finding listed companies that stand to gain from the new procurement Bill.

They are out there, for sure .
