Assuming there are 100m barrels in the field, then 5-10 wells
be realistic to develop the find, so $150-300m, plus production
facilities/pipeline, perhaps another $50-100, (who knows). So
there's 20-30m barrels of production needed before any break
even. At 20% recovery it is a zero sum, at 50% a very long time
before any profit can be... read more...|

on the a thin line of being considered a de-ramping post.
Your assumption that the well was disastrous is misguided given
that the well found oil (the whole point of an exploration well)
and you do know why the well had to be suspended.
Patience is the key until more information is provided, however I

|yesterday 16:51||steelwatch||The fact is, Circle did not exactly declare it as a discovery in the RNS, rather a potential discovery:
Commenting on the results of the EMD-1 well Prof. Chris Green, CEO, said:
"We are extremely pleased to add this potential large discovery to our portfolio in Tunisia. It is unfortunate that the hole conditions became untenable so quickly and we were unable to conduct a full log evaluation... read more...|
|Mon 07:56||poikka||Steel - agreed. I'd say that we're all agreed that this COULD be a huge find for COP, but nothing's guaranteed; so why don't the rampers cool it.
Anyone know how far Mahdia is from an exisiting pipeline we could hook on to? Or would it be better to use a FPSO? Just in case COP & Co. can get it out of the ground, and just in case it turns out that there's enough of it. read more...|

|29 Aug 2014||boozey||warren I disagree on this. For me the single greatest attraction to investing in COP over time has been the conservative approach which can be frustrating but makes it a safe haven compared to the majority of small oilers. The Prof's cavalier approach to Mahdia and going it alone yielded a result but made me nervous and was a big risk. I don't think this great success should make us greedy and... read more...|

the fact that you dont own any shares but are on the board down

|27 Aug 2014||gerry hatrick||Got to say I agree with Doc. This board is to share ideas ,views
etc. but quite often it is used to basically knock either the
shares or the shareholders and it is time people on this board
acted like adults. The reverse is also true that there are a couple
of rampers who should tone it down a tad !
If you are invested you must see the positives otherwise you should
