perhaps restructure is not quite complete,
interactivedv (partnered and sponsored by zoo)needs addressing,
must be costing zoo a packet,"world tours etc"
absolutely nothing to show on their website that they have contributed
any income towards the company at all.

who sends the emails?

No suprises,
No mass exodus this time,
But no news of new deals included in results.
Are ZOO holding those back for the new year me wonders?
2007 could be a vintage year for ZOOTECH.

2007 will come good, only alarmed that in last RNS SG comments on expected profit for full year, any newbies wont see the significance of this, but those in for 3 years, have seen and heard this before... so FY is on a knife edge IMO at present, but could drop into profit.. or the other way.
But do agree that 2007 should be good.

JJ - I'm sorry you feel disappointed; I'm very pleased with results - no surprises!

Clearly, they won't talk about profits at this stage - without increasing sales there won't be any!

But;

*ample cash now - no borrowing costs/credit interest for a change
*best year ever for iDVD sales with some very successful big names and sellers
*new production software and the first sales already in the bag
*stronger management with an independent on the board
*heavy reliance on H2 (WILL CHANGE OVER TIME)

SO; cheer up mate - 2007 will see it come good

The bored are selling; the bright are buying.

fair enough scotty, you did say that.

sewil, we still need a couple more TAS to with certainty say that a profit is due at full year (but revenues from any new TAS agreements will prob drop into following year), otherwise, for this year it might be close to breakeven or FY loss (otherwise they would have gone to town with comments about profit etc) and dependant on idvd performance.
But based on the 3 year plan, and when you take away the closures/sales costs then it does look nice and streamlined for profit in 2007. So at present without any more TAS agreements, it is another waiting game.

Cash if I remember right I said it would open higher if a maiden profit
no matter how small was mentioned.

Results actually better than I expected. Dropping into next 6 months:
*iDVD revenue on sales from publishing, some chunky titles.
*iDVD revenue from 3rd party licences
*TAS revenue from initial sales
*Menu regionalisation revenue.

First half carries costs but little income, second half same costs but majority of income.

Considering the huge restructure the company has been through, ample funds in bank.

Today is the day for those without patience to sell. Next few months is the time for those with an eye to the long term to accumulate :)

now we know why theyve left it to the last trading day... some positives in there... but the distinct lack of the word profit unnerves me from previous years.. will have to wait until TAS is released... sometime in January hopefully... and get some take up from that, and then IMO profit is assured.... but might be on the zoo knife edge as usual at full year without additional TAS.
Current deals may be enough coupled with robust sales figures from idvd products this year... but it is a guessing game again, but are currently only in first year of current three year plan.

Exactly - biggest sales period is right now! Next report will be critical - not this one to September.

Bal sheet shows £2.4M cash so plenty still for next 12/18 months.

No probs. But sell out if you like - I'll be buying them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the second half needs to realise a turnover of £1.16 million just to emulate zootech over the previous year (£1.9 Million).

Again correction needed if wrong, but in order to achieve the £396,000 loss on a £736,000 turnover, expenditure was around £1.13 million in the first half.

Thus to make break even on the full year,(emulating only last years turnover), Zootech needs profit of £1.56 million from £1.16 million turnover in the second half.

Highlights how much more revenue is needed in the second half from around 50 Idvd products, Menu Regionalisation and TAS.

Just my mental ramblings here and I'm happy to be shot down on this if I'm wrong guys.

What does this phrase mean;

"The Board is currently considering strategic options to maximise this
growth."

Perhaps take the business private or sell out ?

Also a bit worrying that the balance sheet total is just over £1m and they don't have much cash left despite the fund raising.

As you say no mention of profit and a further cash raising exercise won't go down too well.

yeah scotty, but they have suddenly gone abit quiet on the word PROFIT, which is the big one for me. And in the last release SG did mention it, and now its 'encouraging' I expect a good 2007, a couple of TAS agreements, will ensure profitability though....

I think my point about today's statement - as much as I want to be positive too - is that they have nearly 3 months trading under their belt and I don't pick up vibes from Stuart Green's announcement today that this period has been exciting !
