I mean is the chairman's message on the right meant for potential investors or a potential buyer? To my mind he's been brought in to broker the deal and get the best price for ZOO.

And let's not forget he has 24 years experience as an investment banker.

Well macs before a company puts itself up for auction they usually do some things.

1) Get rid of loss making parts of business.
2) Streamline business and focus on revenue generating area.
3) Promote young management into dynamic roles.
4) Cut staff numbers from 115 to 67.
5) Move into new premises (with royal seal of approval).
6) Promote family value based criteria with strong brand image.
7) Make a stonking great big profit for three consecutive quarters.
8) Have a few shares which can be bought for vast sums of money.

Hey presto the company is bought/taken over, it's classic business. The way these things are done.

For me the company has still been dressed up to be bought, someone like Adobe would make a good purchaser.

Hothouse Creations in Bristol which they have now ditched will have lopped 50% off those bills macca for starters

And just think of all the money saved on teabags and bikes now the staff number is 50 and not 120+

Quickest way to cut costs is to drop staff numbers, it's not just wages but NI contributions the company has to make, pensions, holiday pay etc etc

see you tomorrow guys. (wonder whether we might get an RNS in the morning? its possible, something brewing. But it could be just positive vibes of recovery from way overdone shafted share price .. back to normal values. But lots of potential RNS lurking in Dec.
